Question:
I was at central stn today and there's a shop right near the bus depot that sells Reverse copies of the Surfs Up dress (not the style, but uses the exact same fabric) as well as the same Shakuhachi daisy chain fabric. It also sold copies of the Sass and bide dress with zips on the side (don't know the style name), the ubiquitous LIAD copy and a tshirt dress very reminiscent of Shona Joy patterns among others. They were all around $40-$80. Thought some voguettes may be interested if they havent already seen the store

Oh yes I saw the surfs up copy in Brissie too. There was also free hugs tees. I am still surprised at how blatently they are copying the designer items. Very interesting.

i agree with purplewhiskers though, they are SUCH blatant copies it's suprising that they can get away with it
and yes the fabric (on the dresses in syd at least) was orange, exactly the same as surfs up

Saw them at Strutt at DFO. They were strappy with triangle shaped bust. So I think much like the surfs up in fact. The penguin print was just on the bust part. The rest was plain colour like orange and I think it came in another colour.

but if its the same style as the surfs up, then it probably wouldn't fit anyway...

the one i saw is all the same penguin print fabric, its a much simpler style than surfs up but same general idea...

yeah i went into mombasa in brissie and saw the valerie tolosa copies of the annie lennox dress, as well as the reverse dresses that the indiana girl was wearing! but in like an orange.. just quietly i'm a bit over all the copying. i enjoyed it at first, but now it's just meh.

I've seen a copy of the daisy print tee at Target - now that spun me out.
