Answer:
but then its unfair on the ppl who pay full price....

Answer:
Not necessarily. It's so widespread now, you know that they're going to do it - if you like it as a trend item, and aren't concerned with quality, it's more than likely you could wait it out for the copy.
The problem is that it's pretty much impossible to come up with an original cut for a dress these days - the cuts are associated with AM or Ksubi or Shakuhachi because they're prominent, not because they pioneered them - and if the designers are not designing the fabric themselves, and don't have a patent on it, it's very easy for companies like this to buy the print.

Answer:
what's surf's up that everyone is talking about (forgive my ignorance :shy anyone have a link or anything?
yeah at fox studios there are 2 stores that sell all the "inspired" clothes, bettina liano ones, shakuhachi daisy just came in this week.
but when you have seen the original in person, these look NO WAY as nice as the other ones, fabric and print not as nice. but if you were a shopper on a budget or had never seen the original i would think it was an ok purchase, especially if you are only going to get 2 wears out of it before its no longer fashionable?

Answer:
so not happy about the surf's up copies...

I agree that designers can't expect their styles to remain 100% exclusive - I mean chainstores tend to make clothes that ARE 'inspired' by them - that is starting the trend in a way. IMO, that's ok - like if camilla&marc start bubble dresses and chain stores also make some bubbly items - fair enough. BUT to make EXACT copies with the same material/colour and style - it's going a bit too far. And reverse seems to do it for lots and lots of styles - it's their claim to fame so to speak.

Answer:
Would the reverse brand even bother employing designers? i can't imagine they would ever feel completely fulfilled by their work- i wouldn't anyways
