Question:
I'm confused with Torrid's sizing - it says I'm either a 12-14 or a size 0? And even then the sizes are a big too large? Yet I can't fit into a normal size 14. Arrgghh. I'm either too big for "small" clothes or too small for "bigger" clothes. I can't win!

The thing with Torrid is that you MUST CHECK the sizing chart for EACH GARMENT... because a 2X in one may be 13 sizes too small, but in another, it can be way too big... it really depends on the fabric, is it cut on the bias, whether or not a jacket (for instance) is lined, or has stretch, or is fitted... there are so many variables; you MUST also know your measurements accurately before you start, rather than guessing that something will fit...
Yes, it does sound rather a lot of messing around, but it is identical to shopping in person - if you restrict yourself to being a size 18 for instance, and don't know where your measurements fit within the range for an 18 - some things will fit, and some things won't, for exactly the same reason - the CUT and FIT of one garment to the next changes dependant upon it's design, fabric and construction...
