In general, my favourite piece of clothing would be denim jeans. They never go out of fashion and go with nearly everything that I own.

a denim skirt I got at Katies (in the larger sizes range) and love it. It's the first time I have owned a denim skirt, I thought they would always look like silly on me. Now I wear it all the time
Except the waist is too big (but needed that size because my hips are 2 sizes bigger ) and I need a belt..something else I have never worn/owned before and so far, no luck in finding one I like.
I wear it alot of my tops because it's so versatile, I can wear just about any top with it.

-i like my sage green jumper mini dress from Miss Shop - nice fabric, warm and cute - worn with opaques and ballet flats or boots, or over skinny jeans
-and my scoop neck bonds knitted top - purple and grey striped - worn with white bonds singlet underneath, and generally with jeans, or box pleat denim skirt
-and my cuffed knee length denim shorts - worn with blazer, funky stockings and flats

my brown pinny from Sportsgirl - i love wearing this with my yellow star print tee shirt and teal fishnets with bronze ballet flats
