oh when lincraft were having 50% i was desperately trying to find a pencil skirt pattern but i couldnt find any..i like the look of the vogue tho!

Oh, I have instructions on how to make pants made to measure from scratch, if anyone wants them. I think they're still lying around in one of my patternmaking folders from TAFE.
Gah im on my way to work now and just saw this thread. I love sewing too! I havent been able to read everyones replies (grrr@work!) Will try to contribute something when im not in a hurry.

Yep - I've tried a couple of brands of fusible thread, and SmartThread is the best. Especially great when friends ask you to "quickly" alter some hems on trousers or a skirt ... I'm not patient enough to hand sew them.

Pinktulips I studied fashion for 3 years- i did a year and a half of a patternmaking coures on the sitam method of pattern making, then 1.5 yrs at tafe using the block method
