i find that DJs stock great designers but only a very tiny range by each designer, which means i rarely - if ever - find ANYTHING i like there.
MYER offer a smaller range of designers but bigger ranges and i can almost always find something i like.
i would hardly call MYER the new Target.

...Wasn't the traditional Myer positioned slightly under DJs but over Target anyway? I have no idea what plans the owners have for Myer.

how can anyone even compare myer with target? the suburban myers might be less premium, but they still have fairly good stock.
i agree that myer should focus on being mid-tier for their suburban outlets. the city store is still a good place to shop for designer stuff. i like the atmosphere as well (more than DJs fashion department) because it's not cramped and clothes aren't crowded on the rack like it is at DJs.

Hmm, I actually feel intimidated by DJs too sometimes! Myer is easier to shop at, and I especially love the Bourke Street store for its range. Suburban stores are pretty bleh so I can see the comparison with Target, but I could never see that happening to the city store!
