top designers leave 'downmarket' Myer - Page 5
Question:
I much prefer Myer to DJs. When Myer have designer sales, they actually discount - not put the price back up again once the sale is over and pretend it's new stock - unlike DJs! DJs' sale stock is literally years old in a lot of cases. It's funny seeing them wheel out the same racks sale after sale. It takes a few sales for these designer clothes to be further discounted. Myer is also much more comfortable to walk around in. DJs is too posh. (Going by the Melbourne city stores, that is). When Myer had their sales the past two weekends, I actually saw SAs from the DJs hosiery section stocking up on discounted hoisery in Myer. Despite the fact that DJs had selected hoisery brands on sale. I think that says it all! Answer: I've heard through the grapevine that what was once known as Coles Group has grand plans to make Target what Myer was to them (coles myer) in the next couple of years. Tar-jay will finally 'earn' its frenchy title Answer: i can't believe i'm awake at such an ungodly hour! haha but i agree myer seems so mediocre in comparison to djs. myer bores me so much and everything just seems so bland and generic there. Answer: Its very true that Myer's new owners were aiming for a more 'prestige' name and market but it failed disastrously The first mega sale it had was chaos, and with the $10 racks, $20 racks etc just seemed like you'd find at Best and Less Plus the new policies they have in place have caused ALOT of unhappy staff and staff quitting, im glad i got out of there just when the new owners came in phewf my friends that are still there hate it Answer: I prefer shopping at Myer but if I want to look at designer ranges I automatically think of DJs. I hate sales at DJs - everything on the racks is so old and is still quite expensive . Often I've already bought one of their sales items months and months ago at a much lower price from a different store. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
