Question:
i was a bit of a lurker in the other thread and it did get rather OTT, but very amusing can someone describe the Marella? I will have seen it but can't picture it atm. Not that i need a new lemming with all the laybys i have to pay off already

There's two Marella dresses and a Marella pinafore - they all have this pleated panel detail thing. The twill Marella has two of them vertically down the front, with big puffed sleeves. The more structured one is the one that's been in a few fashion spreads - the pleat panel goes horizontally across the front.

GG I emailed the seller and asked for lots of pictures and compared them with a dress I have, also I don't think they made fakes of that dress because of that sort of material is harder to copy but I'm not sure. Also she was selling quite a lot of other designer items in consistent sizes, so I fairly certain it was real. Yay for the boots!
I like navy as well but I try to double up on the same colours - except for white and black Oh and grey. Navy is practically a neutral anyway, maybe I should start including that too. Things will start looking up Harlequynh

Speaking of the Marella, I noticed the other week that they've done some metallic brocade versions - kind of a dark aubergine with a reddish metallic thread thru it.

Yup, me too. One of the reasons I don't buy as much S&T as I'd like... so actually probably a good thing
Did the other thread get locked? I wonder why? I only joined the forum a short time ago so am a bit clueless about rules etc.

it got locked cos apparently we went so off topic the VFP didn't know what it was about anymore.
it was getting too long anyway
at least they only locked it, not deleted it so we can still refer to it.

I tried on a coat today at S&T. Gorgeous, but so long and big on me that it looked appalling
