My mimco bag was $50

I saw a pretty average looking leather bag at Mimco Chadstone the other day. It was huge and the leather felt so buttery and supple, which makes it the perfect bag for uni!
It was actually my first visit to a Mimco store and I wouldn't even contemplate walking into the store if I hadn't seen the bag in the window.
But is nearly $400 for a chainstore bag really worth it?

I think Mimco bags are a bit overpriced and are certainly not worth the money, but that's just my opinion anyway. I'm not a handbag or accessories type girl anyway, so I think that pretty much sums it up. personally i find them way too overpriced, the designs are lovely and i really love all their stuff, but i think it's just too much, esp since it's not even a proper designer bag. If you get what i mean.

^^^ That's a fair point, and while I love some of Mimco I do think it's exxy... I don't really see how its not a designer bag though... - Yes its on the lower end, but if you want a "real" designer bag eg. LV, DIOR, PADDINGTON you have to remeber you will have to add a few grand$$ to Mimco's price of $400 or whatever... To me, I find Mimco's leather with simple designs more appealing to the eye than the higher end designs with blingy hardware, so saving the money I might spend on a mimco bag to buy an LV etc wouldn't be worth it in my opinion.

i dont really see the designs as being that appealing. I like the button bag, the zip top is ok, i think the new everyday bag is cute too ..
The point is, i could only pick 2-3 bags that i like and would buy..but i think a lot of their other designs are ugly..i mean imagine spending $400 on the drum tote (bondage)..

If you can afford it i think yes. Although their resale value depends on the style. If its too generic looking you won't get a lot. Having said that. I have a MIMCO slouch that i got way over a year ago that i don't think i'll ever sell. It's so gorgeous!

I had such a hard time deciding whether to get the Button Bag or not but I'm so glad I did cos the leather's so soft and smells so gorgeous (I like the smell of leather ). Don't flame me for saying this... but I find them great for everyday use as I don't have such a hard time thrashing Mimco bags than I do with the "high end" designer stuff. Of course I still look after the bag but I don't get mini heart attacks when I accidentally knock it into a wall whilst walking (I'm quite clumsy).

I love my button bag I have the black one from last year and I use it EVERY SINGLE DAY and its fabulous!! Im thinking because I love it and the style so much I might get another one maybe the snow or the vermillion.......
