Mimco bags: worth the $$$?? - Page 6
Question:
went into chaddy the other day and put my first ever mimco wallet on layby. can't find a piccy of it anywhere but haven't been able to stop thinking about it. it's the new season white/cream button wallet. it's also my first layby purchase (it kind of never occured to me before!) so i'm so excited about having a brand new beautiful wallet in 6 weeks just before i go to sydney! ...now I just have to pay it off!! Answer: I've purchased bags similar to Mimco style for half the price and used it everyday. On the other hand, I own a Mimco shoulderbag and love it...I think its worth the price depending on how much you love it and will use it. Now if only I can get those blue stains from my jeans off the leather... Answer: i don't think Mimco's too overpriced when you consider the cost of an LV or Prada. The label is well-repected within Aus for its designs and good quality, and if it will last just as long as an international designer bag and will get as much use, then why not? Answer: i really really like mimco designs except my pet hate is the button bag, i just think there's something so tacky about it - probably the big buttons haha. it just looks a bit childish and seems like it would date so easily unlike most mimco designs Answer: I LOVE Mimco! I only have a couple of mimco bags so far but I plan on getting more! And not only are their bags gorgeous, their jewellry is soooo nice! Mimco isn't THAT overpriced...compared to other exclusive designer bags. Plus, Mimco designs are so unique! I say that they're worth every penny. Answer: i bought my first one yesterday on impulse cos it was only 80 - i really like the material ! and the style i know will be classic - its so much like the chanel 2.55 bag .. which i adore . without the quilt and the chanel logo . none the less i think its going to get used a LOT .. but im pretty sure its head-to-head with my kenneth cole bag Answer: I was in Mimco yesterday and saw a gorgeous bag in there. Wanted to buy it but hesitated when I saw the price tag. It was $425.00. The sales assistant said it was made in China and although it was beautiful I couldn't justify spending that much when it really didn't look any different to alot of other leather bags I'd seen. I was on Chapel Street and had time to search. I looked high and low and found the most gorgeous bag in Tilka. (i think that's what it's called). Genuine leather and I love it heaps more. I could even smell the leather in my car on the way home. I paid $229 which i think is reasonable if you want a good bag that will last the distance. Answer: What do you girls think of the red carpet collection? I wouldnt mind the small square hard case. I can just shove my money and phone in there when i go out and cant be stuffed carrying my bag around. I also like the mod chick every day back ( $369 ) Answer: I love mimco but I agree, for what it is it's overpriced. I'd recommend buying them on sale or at the outlet in Richmond, Melb. I always feel guilty paying full price for them. The leather bags are very good quality and last forever but the thing that gets me with mimco is that you pay a lot of money for a bag with hardly any features. The velvet sack bags from a few years ago cost over $100 and they didn't even zip shut, they just had one press stud in the middle. And the lucite clutches have a magnetic closing that pops open if you pack too much stuff in there, so even though they're big and spacious, you can't carry much in there. On the plus side, mimco designs are so unique and decorative and beautiful. Answer: I agree that the quality is good on their leather products, however, I have a bag that has beading on it, which has started to fall apart after minimal wear. Oh, and if I see another button bag tote im going to scream!! the design is really cute, but every second girl at uni has one!! Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
