CASUAL LOOK Hoodie and Sneakers - Page 2
Question:
When doing the comfort+jeans combo, which is admittedly very often I usually wear: * straight leg jeans * a random funky t-shirt (like particularly cool production tees) or a more sedate polo (Gant, Lacoste or RL) * zip up jumper (I'm currently in love with a gorgeous CR marle one that was reduced to $50!) or a long line cardigan * ballet flats or keds (just got really cute owl print keds) * I almost always have my leather witchery bag, but sometimes I have a CR duffel * everyday jewellery (thin bangle, thin necklace with diamond pendant, diamond studs), I keep jewellery very simple Answer: Oh, good thread! I just look really horrid when I do hoodie+sneakers, it's my all out CBF look so this will be good for me to learn how to do casual without looking like a zombie Also, I don't think you necessarily need to go with sneakers for this look. I have the comfiest pair of Lacoste canvas flats and they look kinda cute with the look (And for some unknown reason, the boyfriend actually prefers the casual look more) Answer: I think a pair of straightleg jeans, or slouchy boyfriend jeans with: - tank or cami - slouchy, loose cardi - maybe a hoodie, or maybe just a bigger cardi layered over the top - Converses, Lacostes or canvas flats if wearing a hoodie / normal comfy ballet flats if just wearing a cardi - some kind of carefree hairstyle and no / not too much makeup can look really good in an i'm-not-trying kind of way. and you can't beat comfort! Answer: haha this is very much my look since im in uni most of the time (engineering too ) but i think the whole look is really good. Like others, i swap my converse sneakers for keds/ballet flats sometimes and i think big slouchy bags (the witchery one sounds good too) looks great with the outfit. As for jewellery...i normally wear plain silver/dark silver hoops or small dangly but not too fancy earrings, sometimes a long silver chain with a little pendant (if my hoodie's plain) but i barely wear any wrist junk.. Answer: i tend to wear a lot of wrist junk when im wearing a hoodie and jeans....its like all the effort i didnt have to put into coming up with an outfit i invest in assorting as many things on my wrist as possible Answer: I love the hoodie look. I like long zip up hoodies over tights or skinnies! Thousand Reasons are awesome for hoodies in nice colourful/geometric patterns. I find that guys often like the "you look like you are comfy but still stylish" look on girls too. Answer: bags in general look weird with hoodies imo... unless it's a country road bag or similar. Definitely a no to leather bags. I love hoodies, but only the type you pull over your head (without zips) like skate type. Roxy have some cute ones out atm... like the ones with tiny hearts all it- and i agree with the previous poster, hoodies and skinnies look way cute Answer: Haha, I'm wearing a hoodie right now! (Holed up at Uni ). I only own one, that Deep-V Bonds striped hoodie (that was the subject of that thread a few weeks back haha).. it's quite fitted but a pull-over one. I've been wearing my witchery leather bag with it all day, so I don't think leather bags are weird? Also been wearing denim skinnies + CR ballet flats (don't really own any sneakers). Love my hoodie! So good for those bummy, need-to-finish-this-essay-and-not-socialise moments. Like now. Answer: I reckon it's nice to add little feminine touches to this sorta outfit considering the overall look is fairly androgynous. Things like: - loose scoop neck/v neck tees/singlets perhaps with little additions/embellishments - skinny/straight cut jeans - i'd prob say flats over sneakers bu that's just me (although something like lacoste tennis shoes would look nice) - hair out/loosely tied up leaving it fairly natural ETA: i don't think there's a problem with leather bags so long as it doesn't clash with the print/colour of the hoody Answer: I love this look too as it's so comfy and a poster before asked what type of handbag people wear - i like to wear my black and white mimco silk print hobo. Its from a few seasons back but dj's still stock them i think. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
