Pregnant Voguettes? - Page 2
Question:
ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh congrats everyone. I LOVE Babies!!!!

Answer:
I'm 16 weeks too Heart-shaped! I'm still squeezing myself into a couple of pairs of trousers I own but this will def be the last week I'll get away with that I think. There are some nice summer skirts and dresses in Portmans and Witchery with the stretchy waist. Havent found ANY trousers yet that will do the trick. Refuse to spend a lot of money on them but having looked at Target's range of trousers, (Normal and maternity) the range was so awful that maybe I'll have to pay a bit more to get a half-decent pair.

Answer:
OK this is the 3rd repost of this
I'm pregnant too (20wks), there;s lots of great pieces out there this season for us!!
Here's a copy of a list I posted in my pregnancy boards
maternity clothes
Aaaah, a topic dear to my heart!!
Well, knowing the frustration of growing out of favourite clothes in the wardrobe, and being the terrible fashion victim that I am, I thought I'd share my current faves!! (admittedly I work in a very relaxed fashion friendly workplace, so basically anything goes, and there are no corporate items in this list). all these are instore now! (boy i sound like a voice over on a commercial)
1. cotton/linen cuffed knee length shorts from Sportsgirl. THESE HAVE AN ELASTIC WAISTBAND with a drawstring (exactly like the juicy waistband) . I was so excited when I saw these in store, I bought both colours (teal and beige) and am really hoping they keep bringing out more colours!!!! they were only $60 and I am going to LIVE in these this summer!!! I cannot tell you how comfy they are, hurry before all the teens snap them up!!!
2. cotton spandex stretchy rib tank singlets from cotton on. ($20 if memory serves correctly ) and sheers strappy singlets ($12) super looong and a basically go with anything, and perfect for layering.
3. viscose spandex mid calf strapless dress (black/ brown) from witchery $80. super stretchy and hides dimply legs and veins i am sure will pop up towards the end of summer!
4. juicy couture velour/terry tracksuit. this has to be the most flattering leisurewear around. i got the new cargo pocket version pant and you will not believe the amazing way your behind looks! ($170 per piece from djs, cheaper on ebay but watchout for fakes)
5. cargos from general pants. no pregnant woman should be without a pair. so many pockets! these look fabulous really really loose, so get a pair you can cinch the waist in with built in tabs or tie belt and adjust as you expand
6. tiered wrap around skirt from fcuk. it was love at first sight... silk/wool/cotton blend, drapey in a timeless print and completely adjustable - no buttons, zips or clips to frustrate, it closes with 2 ties. i loved the pattern so much i ended up buying the batwing top too it also comes as a wraparound dress for all you dvf fans
7. shirred elasticated waistband skirts and tops. these are EVERYWHERE right now! witchery has quite a few cotton styles in gorgeous colours, tree of life has really cheap ones in rayon ($30) and i am trying to justify the most beautiful one i have seen from hussy
late additions - picked up a whole heap of gorgeous cohen et sabine dresses and witchery have just released a short shirred cotton skirt (soooo comfy) for $50 in a range of summery colours....
now i'm just waiting for the bonds dresses (cheap as chips $20) and i'll be set!!
(I spend most of my time shopping, can you tell?)
hope this helps! sorry about the long post!!

Answer:
On my lunch break today (5 mins ago) I found some pretty good pregger shorts at Glassons.
They are the same as the sportsgirl ones that victim mentioned above - cotton/linen, waistband like Juicey pants (wide elastic and drawstring) and have cuffs with the little button tab things over the cuffs, just above knee. $29.95 compared to $69.95 at Sportsgirl. Colours are black, white, chocolate, olive and a taupey colour.

aWwwwwwwwwww congratulations!!!
I don't know how much you girls are planning to spend, but I recently tried on a gawjus Kate Sylvester silk dress which was unfortunately not too flattering on me at the moment... but I was SO tempted to buy it and put it away for a pregnant day It is a gawjus printed silk... sort of a creamy/coffee base colour with dark crimson floral print on it (more like a painting, than an all over print). It was full from the bust down... so it could have easily concealed/fitted everything from a small belly to a full-term belly... and would still be a gawjus flattering dress for the months after I thought about it way too much for someone who is not even expecting But it was a few hundred dollars.
I've seen quite a few pregnant ladies wearing jersey/knit wrap dresses so far this season... and I have to say they look BEAUTIFUL!!! I think it's lovely to show off that gawjus bump in a classy way
My best friend had a lil girl 7months ago and for most of her pregnancy she lived in dresses as she felt a lot more comfortable without anything around her tummy or lower body (ie. pants). Half of the ones she bought weren't even maternity wear... just stretchy fabrics or babydoll styles which she is wearing again now that the weather is warmer (since she is still a bit self conscious of her body and they're flattering)
I hope you all have lovely pregnancies
