Pregnant Voguettes? - Page 6
Question:
Congratulations all! I had my first baby almost nine months ago! 10.2 pounds later (4.555kg).... Being a mother is the most fulfilling thing and watching him grow into the little boy that he is becoming is even greater. You (by that I mean all of the beautiful pregnant voguettes on this forum) will love it. Now, back to the topic - maternity clothes.... a memory that I am happy to block out. But, what the hell.... I wore a lot of Sportsgirl in larger sizes, I bought a pair of Sportsgirl Jeans in a bigger size and wore a belly belt. Thank heavens for the belly belt! It meant that I was able to wear a lot of normal clothes. That said, I also went to Belly Butten Maternity and Maternity Matters and bought pants and skirts and shirts for work. I have a few tops too. I was totally shocked by the prices... they certainly know how to rip us off. During the last 8 weeks of my pregnancy, I was in a singlet top and sarong. It was a terrible hot 8 weeks and I spent much of it in bed anyway. Hope this helps... I wasn't the trendiest pregnant person though. But I am now My kid is trendy in his little Fred Bare outfits too Much love Voguettes and please let us know when your babies arrive! Answer: Oh goodness Sparkly... 10.2 pounds? That's pretty impressive!!! Congratulations Answer: Ouch is all I can say. He is a healthy little one though Answer: And thank you Answer: I'm sure it's well worth it Sparkly... more than those of us who haven't had babies yet can even imagine AWwww damn I'm clucky Answer: Just wanted to say Congratulations to all the pregnant voguettes..Wishing you all the best for your pregnancy and motherhood. It can be very challenging but so, so rewarding! I found that Witchery had some good pieces. I bought these a size up from my current sizing. In the last 4 weeks, I lived in my hubby's clothes because I was just bumming around the house, not doing much at all! For my next pregnancy I will probably need to invest in 'maternity' gear earlier one as I've heard with the second etc you show more earlier. Answer: I am 36 weeks pregnant with my second - my daughter is 19 months old (yes I am insane..... this is what happens when you don't pay attention, let this be a warning to you all!) I have worn maternity jeans (under tummy - can't stand the over ones) from the Pea in a Pod warehouse and got away with long sleeved esprit tops and metallicus stuff (from that fab sale a while back) in this pregnancy. Last time I had to buy more stuff, mostly because I was heavily pregnant in the summer (baby was born at the start of march) and couldn't really wear tight stuff and be comfortable. At the time I thought it was OK, but I look at most of it now and cringe. I am also very fortunate in that both times I put on hardly any weight, it is all baby in the front for me. Last time I was probably heavier with fluid retention and the heat, but that is not such a problem this time. Dressing when pregnant can be a challenge, every day wear and for something special like a wedding or christmas party as well. I agree with the comments about wrap dresses though, they are flattering and something you will wear later too thus always a good investment. In the last few weeks and months hardly anything will fit well though. I think we should start an 'announcements' thread to herald all the new arrivals.... how long before that would get deleted??! Good luck to everyone. Answer: Originally Posted by Pixiedust I am only in early days yet (7wks, 3d), so all these tips are great! Oooh, good luck ! But my monitor has gone fritz, so I am finding the warranty stuff for that! Answer: The new Peter Alexander range looks like it might have a few things for us growing girls. http://www.peteralexander.com.au Go to Women, then Resort. Nice Chiffon skirt with wide spandex waistband, and the twist knit top. (sorry, can't get the individual links working ) Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
