hmm no dress in mind this early.
but i do love that chloe dress (not the one someone posted earlier) that is always popping up on ebay for $79. but then i think....how could that possibly be real?

Mmm, my schools says they have the formal so early so that it can't be a "distraction" to our HSC study..
I work as a receptionist at a beauty salon with a hairdresser outback, so I can get both done on the cheap so plan to do that, but otherwise I'd probably only get my hair done and do my own make up.

mm yeah me too. i got my makeup done for year 10 and it was *not* worth the money. could have done alot better job myself.
hair on the otherhand i just couldn't do myself without looking awful.

oo mine is on the 21st..so saturday fortnight! exciting but still need to buy shoes. my dress is from Alice McCall. I got it from Frisck on Rathdowne st. My year 11 dress was from there as well (camilla and marc).

Had my formal a few weeks ago it was one of the best nights i wore:
- Sass+Bide black minidress w a beige underlay, has tiers of deconstructued silk w light tan trim
- Miu Miu black glitter heels - I won the 'Carrie Bradshaw award for shoes' thanks to these little babies

- single gold tube bangle
- vintage black pleated silk clutch
- hair in a low, loose bun w swept side fringe
- natural, bronzed makeup, semi-dark eyes
the boyfriend looked cute as well i was proud of him: charcoal suit, white shirt from Herringbone, light blue+ light tan print Gucci silk tie I bought him as a formal present
tossing up re posting actual formal photos from the night but i think you get the idea!
ETA: cute calabrese, i love Frisck! i'd wear it with my hair down and straightish or loosely curled, i think a bun or swept up-do could look a bit prom queen, but hair down would look beautiful and natural

My Year Ten formal is at the end of the year...Im looking for inspiration now however. I have my heart set on an Alice McCall type design, much like the AM CC or the MP
