Question:
I'm doing a bit of winter wardrobe planning at the moment and after investing in some good quality, classic basics, I'm really in need of some cheap winter knits.
So, where do you suggest? ValleyGirl, Dotti, Supre, Portmans, Sportsgirl or...??
And also looking for crisp, white blouses, cheap ones? I saw a men's Kmart one used in a fashion shoot in some magazine recently - has anyone tried this? Looked like a good cheap alternative.

Bit of everything really, my knit collection hasn't been updated for a long time.
Office-wear mainly, stuff that I can layer (damn air-conditioning!). A few light cardi's would be great, V-neck knits, a turtleneck possibly... as you can see my shopping list isn't all that defined yet!

Dotti definitely. They have quite a few basics (like the black turtleneck). That's where I plan on stocking up before I go to Europe. Sportsgirl is pretty expensive in comparison. A jumper I wanted was $110.

imo its better to opt for sometimes pricier but better quality knits. i got 2 soft merino v neck long sleeve knits from country road... they were 89 each but i know they will last me seasons and seasons and are sooo comfy and look great on

^^^ babycat this is what I've always done in the past and still have knits from a good 3 years ago but this year budget isn't going to allow for that unfortunately (saving for relocating in Oct).

i think its better to opt for better quality as well... they are actually much warmer i find and if u buy some simple classic desgins they could last u a while.

I agree Dotti has some really cute and really well priced corporate wear these days, at the Innaloo store at least. Not what I expected from Dotti at all!
They have cute vests and blouses and lots of turtle necks and cardis. Also, sometimes you can be in luck at valleygirl and score some cute knits. I got two from there for $4.95 last year - at that price you can wear them once and feel more than satisfied!
