What's Your Best/Latest Op Shop Find? - Page 4
Question:
Authentic Christian Dior vintage monogram clutch - $3.50 Vintage 100% wool fully lined double breasted camel coloured winter coat, knee length, with faux fur collar (made in England)- $1.80 I've used the coat for 5 winters and without fail, every time I wear it, someone asks where I got it Answer: latest op shop by: -blood red, woven leather clutch -oversized 80's LA lakers t-shirt -more mens levi's to cut into shorts coz my other ones are dying Answer: I only have a few. I don't go op shopping much because I usually get disappointed with the abundance of Temt, Ice, Valleygirl and Supre items. Favourite finds - Black and white large floral print 50's style dress for $18. I wear it everywhere - 1960's Burberry trench for under 100euros from an op-shop in Rome - Fendi bag for 40euros from another second-hand store in Rome Answer: All my friends say this too: "Oh i never find anything but you always do" Wrong! Back in the day when I was going frequently, i would search the yellowpages for all the various op shops then make a plan to go and visit all of the ones in a specific area, and then i'd go to the different areas about once a month each. Some days i'd come out with nothing after going to about 8 shops. Other days i'd go to 2 shops and get 5 things. Like someone previously said i think you just need to have 'the eye' for it & also the patience. I find it helps to bring an ipod/discman along to listen to music while you search as that helps my mind from wandering and getting frustrated easily.
