clubbing clothes??
Question:
hi everyone,
i'm about to turn 18 soon and i'm worried about what everyone wears at clubs and bars. i don't want to look too dressy or too casual.
help me!!
and where do you suggest i shop?

Answer:
Some events/clubs have galleries if you need some inspiration
e.g. onelove
dress codes can differ from club to club though
Enjoy your 18th

Answer:
It depends where about your going to.. and where you live..
I'm from a costal area and people wear everything from shorts and tiny singlets to dresses, jeans...
Its personal choice.. jeans with a nice pretty top is the safest option
xxx

Answer:
It depends on what you feel comfortable wearing. I love getting dressed up, so I might wear a dress, like the Sewn Princess of Hearts dress, or even some dark denim jeans and a pretty cami with nice heels. Though some of my friends choose to wear jeans or a mini with a sass and bide tee and heels.

Maybe for the first few times you go out you can wear jeans and a pretty top, until you some inspiration from other people . You won't be underdressed but you won't be overdressed.

Answer:
It *totally* depends on the place you're going to.
What city do you live in? And what type of clubs/bars are you planning to go to? (ie dance, hard dance, hip hop, jazz, lounge, cocktail, etc)

But Shallot is right - you can't go wrong with flats, jeans and a cami for your first few times, and then play around after you have seen what other people wear

Answer:
ok im from sydney and would probably be going somewhere in the city. oooh can anyone suggest anywhere?
thanks for those threads flying_carpet. i was wondering what was wrong with white pants?
i would probably be dancing alot so i was wondering if jeans would be too hot?
i was thinking like maybe knee-length shorts and heels, or my s&b white denim skirt? or is a white miniskirt too skanky?
lol is supre a good place to look for dressy tops?

I've found quite a few girls wear supre-esque tops up here clubbing, so if you want something a little more individual, I'd steer clear of supre. The cami's I have on rotation are from Portmans, General Pants co, Alannah Hill and some little boutique finds. Maybe you could just wear a plain outfit ie jeans and a black top but dress it up with some nice, but comfy, shoes and some hot jewellery

Answer:
Wear whatever you want baby! you're 18!
However, whenever dressing to go clubbing a remember this rule (i think most girls know it) Show off one asset, and cover the others up. IE wear a skirt and heels, but wear a top that leaves everything to the imagination.
sexy does not = show as much skin as possible
have a great birthday though!
