I agree. I went shopping today to try and get something to wear including a hat and there was nothing in the whole shopping centre Mind you it was a suburban shopping centre so not the city or anything like that, but still I thought there would be lots of stuff and I would have no trouble!

I think only David Jones and Myer would be likely to carry something like that without having to get one made up specifically by a milliner.
I haven't been to the DJs or Myer stores in Sydney yet, but from what I've heard they have the best selection of autumn/winter hats around.

I know the winner was the same girl who won last week on Rosehill Guineas Day. I'm assuming she wore a different outfit than last week though (but can't be too sure because I haven't seen pics yet).

Here's a pic of the grand finalists from yesterday. The winner is in the purple and black, (I think) the runner-up is on the right.
Interesting to see the judges opted for a simpler outfit for the winner, rather than one of the more spectacular ones. They all look fantastic though.

Yep, The winner is the girl in the purple and black. She wore the same dress last year at Randwick at the Sydney Cup.
I thought it looked familiar on the day, but after the FOTF final a couple of ladies came up to me outraged she had worn the dress again. I though it looked good though.
Number 4 was runner up, mum and I thought she was going to win.

It's amazing how many people recycle outfits and seem to win (again). It does look good, and I guess if you've forked out quite a few $$$, then why not wear it again?
I prefer number 4's outfit as well. I just think it's more of a standout, but I guess the judges were after a more subtle look.
