I think that it is the fact that the LOVE totes were designed my Marc Jacobs and appeared on runway. Simply because an item appeared on runway allows the company to raise the prices to phenomenal amounts.

After taking a look at your images of the bag, it has made me appreciate the craftsmanship gone into producing it. It probably isn't crash hot but I mean the texture of it and the lining of the interior have grabbed my attention.

I have to agree with you though.. I don't particularly like the design but I love the attention to detail, such as the inner lining! Isn't it stunning!
