Culling Clothes - Page 5
Question:
for the people that have said "i doubt people would buy it" re ebay...believe me people buy ANYTHING and sometimes pay ridiculous prices for it Answer: I've been culling my clothes in stages over the past couple of months. My wardrobe looks bare! (But at least I wear everything now.) I wanted to sell my stuff on ebay, but it's all just chain store stuff, and it takes so much time to set up each and every page for it. Can you tell I have little patience for things computer-related? You know what would be great? If there was a service that would auction things off for you, for a commission. I would love that, I would just give my clothes away otherwise. Answer: Originally Posted by glo mesh You know what would be great? Answer: heres some inspiration... my friends always called my wardrobe (spare room) the op-shop! i had way way too many clothes, shoes, bags...everything. so before i moved out i did a HUGE cull. i got rid of approx 13 garbage bags full of clothes and shoes etc. passed them onto friends who took what they wanted and the rest went to st vinnies. with a very small pile to sell. now my wardrobe is practically a decent size! i can fit it all in there. its great. its so much harder to decide what to wear when you own so much! Answer: I think I'll cull my wardrobe next weekend - one of my goals for this year was to spend more on beautiful desginer pieces and wear them many times rather than just keep cheap chain store pieces on high rotation Answer: Wow some of the posts here are so inspiring. My wardrobe is overflowing with clothes that are rarely worn yet I still have days that I can't find anything to wear. I buy way too many clothes but always fall-back on the few that I really love. Trouble is that I'm a hoarder but I have to let go! I've done round one spring clean but still have so much left, I have to be ruthless. Its a relief to know that I'm not the only one who can't let go of clothes but I must be strong like the girls on here who have completed major wardrobe culling! There is no point keeping onto something you don't even enjoy. Think about it stricktly to yourself "will i honestly ever wear this again" "would this outfit be happier with someone else who actually does love it!"
