Is your true waist 25.5" or is that the measurement at the exact point where your jeans sit? Coz I'd say a size 28 means that the waist of the JEANS is 28 inches but this then sits lower than your waist, more towards your hip.

What kind of jeans are they? Because a size 6-8 would definately not be a size 29 in jeans unless it is some pretty weird sizing. I am a sz9/10 and I wear either a 27 or 28 in jeans depending on the brand.

I'm a 10--- 28/29 depending on the brand. e.g. Lees imo are made smaller than SFAM. A Lee 29 is like a Seven 28.
when i was an 8, I was around 27
but when I was a 6, I was 26

I used to be a size 31 which was AU 13, but now a 28. I purchase diesel jeans from overseas.
30 - AU 12
29 - AU 11
28 - AU 10
But it does depend on the brand of jeans.
