I just have to state the fact that she may well have just been down to the petrol station or a friends house.
So if that was the case - I say go for it.
I don't like the idea of shopping in them though. It looks like you forgot to get fully dressed (as did she).
I guess its all up to personal opionion and if fashion is what it is, then you should wear what you like.

Yes, yes it is. Uggs are fine to go get bread & milk from the local petrol station (or to an end of semester uni exam in winter ), but in general, I wouldn't consider them a fashion statement.

I agree - I wear my uggs (special "outside soled" ones from PA) to get groceries, petrol and yes, once to an end of semester uni exam
If I'm going over to a friends house to watch a movie at night or something, then I'll wear them as well.

I'd wear them out to the servo, video store or to friends house but could never wear them shopping. I went to a shopping centre today and there were a few girls wearing uggs over jeans with their hair and makeup all done perfectly and lots of accessories, it looks like they forgot to put shoes on. But if they like it then its up to them.
I dont think theres anything wrong with thongs i live in them in summer.

Yes, it is! Those boots are awful. The rest of her outfit is cute...pity the boots make her look like an over-dressed hobo. I'm not a fan of thongs either...i've worn them once or twice when it's really late and I need to go to the supermarket, but not actually *out*. It's not that hard to wear decent footwear.
