Hello,
I am have been living in Australia for a couple of years, unfortunately, I still don't know where to find a lot of things. My girlfriend is overseas for a few weeks and mentioned in passing she wanted some Chanel earrings. I have no idea where to find such things, as I am not exactly a "shop-o-holic". Would any stores in the Brisbane area carry them? I suppose I could venture down to Sydney over the next little while....thanks for the help in advance.

Sydney would be your closest place to find Chanel from Brisbane, but their stock levels vary all the time. Sometimes there will be a good amount of stock cos things have just come in that day and other times there will be nothing! It depends what she's after, some things have an 18 month waiting list (like these http://newworldtreasures.100megs2.com/Test/EAR661.jpg I know they're not real but it's the only pic I could find....) whereas other more seasonal earrings might be in store. Give Chanel a ring in Sydney and if they don't have much stock maybe you could ring Melbourne and they could send up something if they've got more stuff....

Do you know what particular style of earrings you are after?
For some particular earrings there is a huge waiting list in Australia, however they often have many different styles available in store. Give the Sydney store a call and they will be able to tell you what is in stock. If you like something they will be able to post it to you.
Otherwise, if you find a style you like and there is a waitlist you can always go through www.shopgopher.com. They can buy them overseas for you and send them over. They are really helpful.
