mineral makeup advice - Page 2
Question:
[quote=parasiteeve] I'm still waiting for samples for Monave. It seems that a lot of ppl say that Monave has the best coverage and staying power. It is also the most expansive among all the minerals. I can't wait for my Monave to arrive. http://www.monave.com/ Apart from Monave, another two which have heavy coverage are Cory and Alpha Skin Care (now renamed Jenulence): http://www.corycosmetics.com/ http://www.alphaskincare.com/ All three of these were too heavy for me. Answer: Gosh there are a few brands aren't there... I have normal to oily skin with a natural olive colour as I'm european but at the moment I'm tanned as it's summer. Will have to check out the sites mentioned above. Thanks girls! Answer: Thanks Dixiebelle.. How long was shipping for alphaskincare? The way the colours are categorized are a bit confusing, aren't they? I heard Shipping from Cory takes ages, so i might pass on her. Am interested in the AlphaSkin Care though.. Definitely too drying for me. Pretty sure it was the kaolin in it, which can be drying. You must be getting a bit mixed up MW. EM does not have kaolin in it. Just mica, titanium dioxide, zinc oxide and iron oxide. Answer: Originally Posted by parasiteeve Thanks Dixiebelle.. How long was shipping for alphaskincare? It was a couple of years ago, but I remember them as being pretty efficient. I know I'd remember if there were any problems. Going by the recent comments on the MMM Board, Cory seems to have everything sorted out now and seems to be getting things out pretty quickly. I couldn't do any good with the Monave foundation, but the lip glosses are great - also the mini lipsticks are really cute and last for ages. Monave is also one of the only places I've been able to find small stacking jars which screw together. Great for travelling, you end up with just a little roll of foundation, finishing powder, blush, eyeshadow etc. Answer: Originally Posted by Groovy One You must be getting a bit mixed up MW. Well, I don't know why it was so heavy and drying on me then, but it was Answer: I tried one of the Ocean samples today and it was . So light but beautiful coverage. Did not cake nor dry my skin out. I used Natio Glow underneath. Answer: I used that Sheer Cover too (another sucker here). It's OK but I wouldn't rave on about it. I won a Neutrogena one and waiting for that to arrive. Will report back then. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
