Iron Chef Makeup Challenge - Page 6
Question:
gorgeous pics EVERYONE! i suck at colour, this thread is very much a spectator sport for me.

Answer:
I tried, and it was pretty difficult because I dont wear blue usually. I had to make do with what makeup I had, so I used a wash from the stila nude pallette (starlight or something like that? The top left one )
Next I found an Australis palette and did a wash of bright medium blue shadow, shimmery. I lined my top and bottom outer lashlines with the dark blue colour from the fantasy palette (the one released with the britney perfume).
To make it a bit more "me" I added a little bronze from my clinique patchwork bronzer above the blue and they really complimented one another. I added a little illuminator along the browbone and black mascara. It didnt look too bad at all actually, for my first real blue effort in a long time.
I tried to take photos but like I think I mentioned, my camera is terrible at night shots, the flash washes out so much colour and it almost looks sepia.

Answer:
I'm loving everyone's pics and attmepts to wear colours they don't usually.
Ok, here's what I came up with for the inaugural challenge.
Over UDPP, Lancome Colour Dose in Maupiti very lightly over whole lid.
MAC Belle Azure over whole lid.
MAC Gold Dusk pigment in inner corner over the BA.
MAC Night Owl (from Denim Dish 2 quad) on outer corner and a bit into the crease.
MAD minerals Amber Gold in crease
Pure Luxe Copper Aura to highlight
Stila Cobalt smudgepot to line bottom lash outer 2/3.
Pure Luxe Turquoise Aura over the smudgepot
Gold Dusk to line inner 1/3 of bottom lash.

Answer:
Snaps to natalie, I also wore bronze with my blue!

Answer:
My my don't you all look gorgeous
Let me start by saying blues don't look that crash hot on me. Then top it off with I'm averaging 2 hours sleep a night so I have caverns under my eyes. And the pics weretaken in a rush this morning. Believe it or not a) it was really quite bright, and b) blended over the crease, not under as it appears
Anyways, I did turquoise to work in with my necklace today:

All MAC except for the Stila SP and mascara:
* Base - Aquavert on inner corner and Aquadesiac over rest of lid
* Waternymph over the inner 2/3rds
* Tilt over the outer 1/3rd and in crease
* Sprout over the inner 1/3rd and blended out to replicate the green in the turquoise
* Jadeye to line, then Stila Black SP to line inside that
* Shu Basic in black
Meh...

Answer:
Miss willow, there's enough green in those blues that they do work for you. And your liner looks way better than I ever manage to get mine to look. Which brush do you use?
Yay for IHM and blues! Looks great too, and I will also ask you which brush you used for your liner.

Thanks honey but it really wasn't working IRL. Anyways, I use the MAC 231 brush with gel liners (and for fine detail with shadows - its a great multitasker )

I just had a rummage around and found two brushes I bought specifically for liquid liners which I hadn't even used, just tried them both out now, and woohoo! Cat-eye liquid line!
