Hand job confusion..... (NAILS!!!!!) - Page 2
Question:
Hahaha the title, omg the title! It still says "Hand job confusion..." when you look at it from the main forums page lol. Answer: Have you tried Revitanail? I had excellent results with this after I removed my acrylics. Any fake nail is going to be bad for your real nails. I try to do my own manicures each week. I suggest you buy the following and get your real nails into shape, it can be done. I was a nail biter and then I had acrylics. My nails are now is really good condition, this is with a little work and plenty of care. Cotton gloves Orange Stick Emery boards 3 step buffer (black beauty & manicare do these) Revitanail Cuticle balm (I LOVE Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter) Hand Cream (I use Lush Helping Hands) Hand scrub (I use Lush Ocean Salt) Once a week, put aside 45 minutes: Remove anynail polish or Revitanail. File your nails (this will be hard at first if you have bitten them down) Buff. You need to do 3 runs with the 3 step buffer. I find that these are a lot more gentle on natural nails than the foam ones that manicurists use, especially when they are at the frail, ragged stage. Now you need to push your cuticles down, do this really gently with the slanted end covered with a little cotton wool. Little bumps with just a little pressure. Soak your hands in very warm water with 1/2 cup of milk and a tbsp of honey. Soak for 10 minutes. Use the scrub for 5 minutes. Remove your hands and dry them. Apply Revitanail and allow to dry. Apply the hand cream and then the cuticle balm. Each Day, apply Revitanail and at night, use the cuticle balm and hand cream and wear the cotton gloves while you sleep. In a couple of weeks you will start to notice how lovely your hands and nails are looking - naturally. Answer: Dammit...I was going to offer some advice from a male's point of view. Then I saw that it was actually about nails. Answer: I personally have found that arcylics ruin your real nails. When I was younger, I used to bite my nails and would get acrylics put on instead. But when they come off, the nail underneath was filed down so thin, it took months for it to grow back to full strength A friend of mine would get acrylics done religiously every few weeks, and ended up with nail rot and infections underneath Answer: Originally Posted by Templar Dammit...I was going to offer some advice from a male's point of view.
