Face Exfoliators that actually achieve results?? - Page 4
Question:
Dermalogica dailymicrofoliant did NOTHING for me. Very overhyped and ineffective.
Angels on Bare Skin for physical exfoliant, and Paula's Choice 8% AHA as a three times a week chemical exfoliant.

Answer:
i like the exfoliator made by clarins

Answer:
I have been using Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream for years (about once a week)
I've also recently started using Neostrata Ultra Moisturising Face Cream, which contains PHA and is working well so far

Answer:
Yep Microfoilant did NOTHING for me too! SOooooo overrated IMO, and recently there was a 'best exfoiliator' post with a tally, and Microfoilant won by a mile! Couldnt believe it!!

I really don't understand? It does not do anything that bi-carb and water does not do (it has exactly the same consistency for a tenth of the price).
And what's with the "skin brightening" ingredients it supposedly has? For starters it is not on your skin long enough to "brighten" .. Dermalogica market themselves brilliantly that's all i can say!!
Although having said that I think their clay cleanser, active moist and daily resurfacer are brilliant

Answer:
Dr Brandt's Exfoliating facial wash.

As much as I like Dermalogica I have to say this didn't work for me as well. For the first couple of times my skin feels so good, it was amazing. But subsequently it makes my skin dry and flaky . I now use their Gentle Cream Exfoliant which is pretty good.

Yep as much as I too am a dermalogica devotee I just don't get the daily microfoliant hype. I'm using the skin prep scrub at the moment but I want to try a Paula's Choice AHA or BHA one...
The problem is my skin is sensitive but with some oiliness and tendency for congestion and blemishes so I don't know which one to get. I'm even thinking about buying one of each and testing them out

This is a secret but this thought leaks out once in a while too I have a tendency for congestion too and nothing can really keeps it clear for more than 2 months. I sometimes think I might try Paula's BHA but managed to stop myself so far perhaps because of brand loyalty

Answer:
^^ tee hee, Stella, don't worry we won't tell anyone!
The problem is that the dailymicrofoliant has AHA anyways...but perhaps not as concentrated as the Paula's Choice? So maaaaybe the BHA would be worthwhile...? The other problem is every time I read the PC site about exfoliants it just makes so much sense!!! Very hard to resist!
