Face Exfoliators that actually achieve results?? - Page 5
Question:
I really like ocean salt....makes me wanna go drink margharitas! and the avon microexfoliant is pretty awesome...a little bit goes a pretty long way! Answer: ASAP Daily Exfoliating Facial Scrub. It contains AHA's. Answer: clean & clear blackhead clearing cleanser is good!! and cheap!! i have quite dry/sensitive skin, and this doesnt irritate it or brek me out!! Answer: Originally Posted by Lulu_Chan The problem is that the dailymicrofoliant has AHA anyways...but perhaps not as concentrated as the Paula's Choice? So maaaaybe the BHA would be worthwhile...? The other problem is every time I read the PC site about exfoliants it just makes so much sense!!! Very hard to resist! For the past 2 weeks I've been using samples of PC's AHAs and BHA. I've been mixing it up between the 1% BHA, 2% BHA and the 8% AHA. It really is a miracle how smooth my skin is. I used to use Dermalogica's Microfoliant religiously, but it's going into the bin. I really recommend using her exfoliants!!!! Answer: Originally Posted by Lulu_Chan ^^ tee hee, Stella, don't worry we won't tell anyone! The other problem is every time I read the PC site about exfoliants it just makes so much sense!!! Very hard to resist! Daily Microfoliant doesn't contain AHA;s - it contains salycic acid which is a form of BHA (and probably why my skin hated it) I've used Paulas choice bha and aha but ultimately found that the BHA did not suit my skin at all - even though I have oily t-zone and congestion prone skin (and everything i've read says that my skin type SHOULD use BHA). I've had to stop using BHA's completely to get my skin back to some kind of normality. The PC AHA is brilliant - it controls oily skin, makes it very smooth and helps stop breakouts and congestion. My advice would be to get a couple of samples off the PC website - everyone's skin is different so BHA might work well for you. Answer: Ah ooops Rhania I guess I meant it the other way round... but thanks for the advice. I've requested some samples of each from PC, so it will be interesting to see what works. Answer: I use and love Dermalogica gentle cream exfoliant. It's the best chemical exfoliant out there without question. The best mechanical exfoliant is Astrali (france) - Astrapeel scrub. Word of warning - the 'St Ives' exfoliant and the like ones actually damage skin. The grains used are finely chopped Apricot seeds. It is tiny teeny things ripping the delicate cells of the skin when you use it. It is far from gente or effective. Stay away from it! Answer: Ive been using one from overseas called IS Clinical ActiveSerum. It has AHA/BHA and Lactic Acid. I use it 3 times a week. It has really helped with blackheads. Paula's choice BHA just dried out my skin and didnt improve blackheads at all for me. Her AHA is quite good though but stung when I first put it on. Answer: Wow, I really love Daily Microfoliant. My skin has never been so smooth, and it has really helped my pigmentation. I can't believe it is making people's skin dry? I use the Daily Microfoliant every morning and the Daily Resurfacer every night and my skin has never been so clear and glowing. Answer: Biotherm Pure Bright Peeling Mask - the one in the blue bottle with the black liquid inside. You use it as a mask then you'd start gently rubbing your skin. You'd then notice that your dead skin cells peel off without any feeling to it. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
