Everyday Minerals (Free Sample Kit) - Page 2
Question:
Thanks heaps Mezzamy, I just put my order in. That's so handy coz I need to sample lots of different products for my makeup kit (for my makeup artistry biz)

Answer:
This stuff is fantastic. I've been using the samples for 2 weeks now and I've ordered a full starter kit. It doesn't break me out, irritate my skin or clog my pores. It looks fantastic and natural and matches my pale skin perfectly. Can't rave enough about it.
With the starter kit you get 2 full-sized foundations, a blush, concealer and brush for less than the price of Bare Escentuals (and with better ingredients.)

This may be a dumb question but do u have to mix their powders to form a foundation coz when I went to their foundation area, it was still showing powders?

Answer:
Sorry to be OT but why don't they make mineral foundation in a pressed compact?

Answer:
I wonder what their brushes are like?

I think its a pretty small company, maybe they don't have the funds or equipment to press the powders.

Answer:
oh thanks for letting me know. I sort of expected that since I don't think they're made of sable hair like better brushes are. I have a great Kubuki right now actually so i don't need another - i've had this one for a year and no loose bristles!! yay! But was just curious since they looked cheap-ish.

I believe that pure mineral makeup isnt 'stable' enough to be pressed into a compact. you would need to add talc etc. which ends up changing the foundation from pure mineral makeup to typical commercial makeup...
EDITED TO ADD: yeah i really dont have a clue about this, so disregard this post haha

yes it is powder foundation. i have combination, but very flakey skin, and i never thought i would ever stray from hydrating, liquid foundation (powder + dry skin = disaster!). i've since used samples from youngblood (http://www.youngblood.com.au) and i'm amazed at the effect of mineral foundation. it offers great coverage and you only need the teeniest tiniest amount which you lightly dust over your face. most mineral foundations tend to give a glowy, natural look as opposed to a matte, powdery finish that i was expecting (because duh, it was powdered makeup ). i also always thought liquid foundation was nice n convenient and i didnt want to muck around with powders, but it really is a cinch to use. i cant wait for my sample pack to arrive!
