Question:
dior doesnt test Answer: Hi Can I ask where you got this info from? I'm just asking because everything I've got access to either says they do or says nothing, but nothing says they don't TIA Originally Posted by Drowned Fish dior doesnt test Answer: Originally Posted by miss willow Hi Can I ask where you got this info from? Maybe they used to but stopped? Because a couple of years ago, animal testing was required by law. I suspect that they don't make it to a lot of lists (like the PETA one) is because they use real leather to make a lot of their hand bags. Either way, all French companies that test will either have to stop or produce their products somewhere else: http://archives.foodsafetynetwork.ca..._24.htm#story7 http://www.planetark.org/dailynewsst...2002/story.htm Answer: Yeah, unfortunately a few companies 'got away with' claiming they didn't test on animals because, technically they didn't test the final products, but they may have tested the ingredients, or got others to do it for them. More and more they are being picked up for this, and aren;t getting away with it - alot of laws actually got tighter about who can actually say "not tested on animals" on labels. Things do change regularly. PETA and similar sites upgrade their lists every few months, and its interesting to see how often they change. For example, Gilette are currently observing a moratorium on testing (it is suspended but there hasn't been a firm committment they won't go back to it), and Wella has just been bought by a parent company that does test, so its status may or may not change... A lot of us are looking forward to the new EU laws, but we're still waiting to see how successful they will be in practice. But, every step forward is a positive!
