Manicure by Professionail? - Page 2
Question:
ive been twice, and i found that the staff there are pretty rough. once i was doing my full set, and this lady use the nail file to hard trying to file side of my nails, made me bleed and when i got out of the shop it hurted for weeks. ( they didnt even say sorry). no offence to anybody but i find most shop arent really professionally trained. also, ones that I've been, i dont like it when they dont say a thing when they have finished the service. They just leave you waiting in the nail dryer place. Have any of you experienced such thing?? Answer: I went for the first time recently (manicure) and it was so-so. The girl was English and properly trained and did all the right things. However my nails didn't look much different than when I do them myself. I won't go again. Answer: ^^ I had a similar experience. They tried clearing my cuticle and it ended up being cut and bleeding profusely. It stung like nothing else. The woman just quickly dabbed at it then put a layer of nail polish over the top, resulting in lovely bloody polish and (later) an infected finger. Everything was in broken English, and the English that was spoken was ubrupt and rude. Would not recommend. Answer: Don't go there. The staff aren't trained properly. I used to get acrylics there and they drilled far too much of my real nail away. Plus they took twice as long as a normal tech because they stuffed around so much with the drilling. Answer: Has anyone been to the Chermside salon? They seem to be always quite busy and I've been tempted to go in a few times but need to know what they're like first. Answer: How much do they usually charge for a manicure? Answer: I have been to quite a few of these places in Sydney. Manicures range between $15-$20 and Pedis are usually between $30-$35. But you can get a mani and pedi at some places for $40. The cheapest I've gotten is $35 for both at this place that just opened. I only go to them because they are cheap, sometimes they are alright and other times it's pretty disapointing. Usually though they are ok, I guess you can't expect too much for the price. Answer: my bf refers to professional as the nail sweatshop Answer: Originally Posted by kelperth my bf refers to professional as the nail sweatshop Sadly, that's pretty accurate. My sister used to go and they were pretty hit and miss. Sometimes they turned out nicely, other times they were horrible. I only went once for a pedi 'coz I was desperate and my local wasn't open. She exclaimed over my unshaven legs (which hahahahhahahaha but also I was wearing jeans!), didn't listen to what colour I wanted, and was super rough.
