what finish did you try and how did you find it?

I ordered them all in matte, and they're not super matte, but there's virtually no shine.

im glad to know this thread has been of some use i personally am loving my samples (my perfect match is the shade 'medium beige - semi matte') and i will definately be purchasing full sizes of the foundation and blush (siesta - a very subtle clear peach with faint shimmer). certain brands of cosmetics dont work for everyone, but i think its awesome that sites offer samples so we can at least find out. thanks to everyone who said thanks hehe

Mezzamy can I ask what colour foundation you normally wear? Melissa at EverydayMinerals suggested Medium Beige for me and I use Mac NW20.

Sorry for 3 posts in a row girls , but I just thought I should let you know about the great customer service I got from EM today.
I tried to order another set of samples this morning, (slightly darker shades in the semi matte finish). First I tried to pay via paypal but it got stuck, then I tried to pay via credit card and it got stuck on the address bit. So I emailed them to let them know asking how I could place my order, and they emailed me back apologising and saying they are having server troubles and said to let them know what I wanted and they would send it to me for free! They even said they were cheering for the Socceroos and that we were robbed in the match with Italy. these guys are awesome!!
I told them once I find my right shade and finish they would have a customer for life, so the good kharma will come back to them!

I usually wear Revlon Foundations (and most brands for that matter) in Medium Beige. I find it interesting that you were recommended the same shade if you're a NW20 because doesnt the 'NW' indicate that you have cool undertones? Everyday Minerals Medium Beige is suited to light to medium skin tones and offers neutral to yellow undertones. If you click on each foundation, it gives a description of the shade. Dont assume what each shade is like because some are completely different to what you'd expect i.e the shade Light is actually meant for people with strong yellow undertones.

Wow msbliss, that's just awesome!! Hearing that makes me feel loyal to them and I haven't even received my sample kit yet!
