(One month of use of the 5 days?) and how long should the break be? so you apply two coats... then another coat on top of that every single day for five days? doesnt that just end up with 7 layers of clear laquer on each nail?? confused! My nails are not long enough to dig in, i have to keep them short. Answer: Well after reading all that I think I will have to get some and try it out for myself. I'm not sure how it can REALLY make them stronger after 5 days though... Answer: Originally Posted by Bells12 Well after reading all that I think I will have to get some and try it out for myself. Answer: BelindaK I did a google search for "home remedies" on how to whiten your nails & found this on magazines.ivillage.com "Several tricks can be used to make your tips look whiter. Nail expert Fran Manos (author of Beautiful Hands and Nails Naturally) recommends bleaching them in a solution of 1 tablespoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide mixed with 2 1/2 tablespoons of baking soda in a small plastic bowl. Use a cotton swab to press some of the mixture (it should achieve a pastelike consistency) firmly under the tip of each nail as well as over the top of the nail, covering all the nails on one hand. Allow the mixture to remain in place for about three minutes before rinsing with warm water. Repeat with other hand. Try this treatment every six to eight weeks. Or, soak your tips in a commercial denture cleaner for about five minutes. For a super-speedy fix, use a nail-whitening pencil (available at drugstores) under your tips for a brighter look." Yeah i found that too I was told not to use the whitening pencil by a fellow Vougette, they can cause infection. Thank u Answer: I have used the whitening pencil for several years> it makes the nails *look* whiter - I've never had a problem with infections. There is a product by Manicare called Nail Whitener and it does work - I use clear products (Sally Hansen, etc) to strengthen my nails (though I am about to try Revitanail) and they were always yellow under the product even though the Age Correct products give the impression of whiter nails. Since using the Manicare product under whatever, my nails are whiter. (The product says it's Toulene and Formaldehyde free) Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
