RAVE! Dr LeWinns Revitanail = LONG STRONG NAILS! (Pics added) - Page 13
Question:
I bought this yesterday cos my nails were splitting, my Nana has used it for years and swears by it...
At Myer at the moment they have a special on Dr Lewinns too, buy 2 products and get 25% off... I think it finishes tomorrow or Monday... but now I have Revitanail, the cuticle oil and the hand and nail cream. Can't wait to see the results!

Answer:
Does it creep anyone else out that the active ingredient is the same thing used to preserve cadavers for anatomy dissections?
I love Revitanail but have just moved on to Herome (extra strong) hardener and it has been AMAZING! Revitanail was good but i think Herome is better That huge Dr Lewinn's pack for ~$50 is great value though... I find that after a couple of weeks of either, my nails are so strong and healthy i don't need to use it anymore and i've been a chronic nail biter with the most disgusting nails.
Oh and just a tip - don't apply it too close to your cuticles otherwise it turns your nails yellow. Also i wouldn't recommend long-term use as formaldehyde is carcinogenic.

Bella, I agree with you in regards to the formaldehyde - everyone here raves about the Revitanail but it is so bad for you - what it does is give you hard nails -yes, but then they get brittle and you need to you use more of it - so you are in this cycle where you are applying it to keep the nails hard yet the formaldehyde is causing brittle nails. Formaldehyde is extremely bad for your nails and for your overall health girls!

Yep
It would be best to treat the underlying cause of your nails problems (e.g. vitamin and nutrient insufficiencies) rather than going for the quick fix topical treatment.

Answer:
So does Herome contain formaldehyde too?

Answer:
I think Herome comes in two strengths (strong and extra strong) with different concentrations of formaldehyde and also another one without any at all. Formaldehyde is what actually makes it work though. It's fine to use every now and then; just not all the time.

Answer:
Thanks bella, have you used both herome and revitanail? Which one do you think is better?
