La Prairie's Pure Gold
Question:
I keep seeing posters and advertisements for 'Cellular Radiance Concentrate Pure Gold" by La Prairie all through DJs. It sounds very interesting; micro-particles of 24-karat gold, as well as quartz and liquid crystals, it's supposed to "de-age" the skin . I've heard a few rumours that certain metals can have good affects on skin. Has anyone tried it? I'm surprised there isn't already a thread on this. Answer: Hmmm... Apparently, gold is a relatively common allergen that can induce dermatitis about the face and eyelids, and there is no research showing it to have benefit when applied topically to skin. http://www.cosmeticscop.com/learn/di...os=1&type=FIND Answer: do you mean the serum? Well for $930 im not surprised there hasnt been a thread on this, who could afford it? and id be too scared to test it in case i fell in love with it and was posessed to spend nearly a grand on one item.. No MUa reviews yet Answer: Wow it costs a whopping $930 for 30ml: http://www.laprairie.com.au/shoponli....aspx?pid=1916 The Pure Gold microsite: http://www.laprairie.com.au/shoponline/index_au.aspx Answer: Nice work SN its on there already!! http://au.strawberrynet.com/productD...58880&goChar=L But...still $787 yeowch Answer: Originally Posted by georgi Well for $930 im not surprised there hasnt been a thread on this I know, the price is insane! I just did some more research, In total it's only about %10 pure gold, and there's only about 30ml of it! That's only 3ml of gold, not so pure after all ! But has anyone even sampled it? Answer: If you're after a radiance product with gold in it, Guerlain's Divinora Pure Radiance also has particles of 24 carat gold. No no, I don't want to buy it, in fact I think it sounds pretty stupid, like they only put gold in it so that it SOUNDS fancy, rather than actually looking at what effect it will have on your skin, as u pointed out. I'm just curious to know if any Vougette has had a positive experience with it. Answer: I may be wrong butttt I doubt anyone here would have bought it/tried it unless they gave asignificant sample, which i doubt they do i'd never buy this without trialing it, and no matter how much i LP and skincare id never spend nearly $1000 without trialing it first Answer: when they launched the gold serum, LP sent out a mailer offering samples of the gold serum, radiance cream and radiance eye cream for collection at the counter. i chucked my mailer somewhere because the price is crazy and i'm not interested in anti-aging... yet. but now i kinda wish i'd gone to collect it. just out of curiosity, of course.
