Nail Glue?
Question:
Has anyone seen or used this?
Problem: Tips of my nails keep spliting and tearing from the side....but only like two do this and the rest stay normal
I just want to glue the split instead of tearing it as usual....
I eat well, take a multi and silica....not sure what more from the inside I can do!!! So the glue is a last resort. I have only seen one available from Sally Hansen...but it looks quite complicated with a solution and powder etc. Not sure how I would apply it, like just to the area or the whole nail.?...Anyway if anyone knows anything about this stuff please write and tell!!!
Thanks

Answer:
I have only ever glued a nail once, and that was because it had torn down past the flesh line and it was so painful. I actually used Tarzan's Grip but it worked quite well. Once my nails start splitting from the edge, i usually just trim them, because they're weak anyway

Answer:
^^ Tarzan glue?!
Is that like the stuff from hardwear store? I was thinking of exploring this option but was hopeing that someone here might discourage me!!

Answer:
Yup! Straight out of Dad's toolbox. And it worked a treat. Just be careful not to glue two fingers together

Answer:
I use nail glue if one on my naisl tears in a painful way or too low. I have had no probs so far, but try a nail hardner (see Revitanial thread) and some jojoba oil too

Answer:
Haha glue your fingers together!!
BelindaK what nail glue do you use?
I use that Revitanail as well, plus heaps of nice hand creams and oils....I'm at a loss to know what I can do do avoid the glue. At least the Revitanail can slow down the tearing process once it has started. Think I might try that sally hansen stuff after all. Once I've worked out how to apply the powder etc I'll report back....btw it's $20, ouch!

Answer:
i just use normal glue if i have to. my nails are quite strong for its lenght, but eventually it chips from sides. why not try using arcylics overlay on top??like the powder thing + solutuion you were talking about ...wouldnt it be better???

I got it from Priceline, i think the brand is Fingers, it is just the stuff for acrylic nails i think..
I do know you can buy some repair nail stuff.. not sure what it is called though.

Answer:
i used the same fingers one too. and it glues my cracked nail together.

Answer:
I normally just paint my nail or use the glue from those stick on nails. It's fine, just file it down if you use too much!
