I just tried to epilate my arms with my mums epilator and I didn't think it hurt but it did nothing! Well not nothing but I was kind of disappointed, I stopped too because I had heaps of red dots and I got scared lol.

My sister bought the new silk epil, the purple-greyish one with the rotating massage thingys. It works well too but i found that although the massage thing reduced the pain a bit, it actually got in the way and you have to go over the area more than usual to get all the hair out
I have the Braun Silk Epil one too! Mine's pink and white and I too find that what your saying about not much hair being pulled out with the "de-pain" attachment! I use the other attachment on my legs as it's faster and picks up more hairs and I use the pain killing one for my underarms!

i bought the braun silk epi a few days ago ! (thanks to rant of voguettes) and oh my goooodness it kills! hahaha i'd much prefer waxing, but i know pain is beauty and of course, im going to bare the pain! ive done half of both legs hahahaah couldnt bare to do the rest!

When i first got my epilator about 3 months ago now doing my underarms KILLED! Soooo painful the 1st and 2nd time.. but keep at it... it is worth it!!!!
I was in sooo much pain that some other voguettes said that ice could work so I used ice on the area to numb it and cool it first and then I ran the epilator over it... I came up in red dots here and there in my armpits some started to bleed but it is definetely worth it... I was shaving my underarms everyday and the hairs were sooo dark and noticable.. now... the hairs are finer and they're not as dark! Oh and sooo smooth!!!

I've been searching the other threads and I'm still undecided about whether to get an emjoi or a braun. So a few questions:
Which one is quieter?
Do gold tweezers really make a difference?
Which one is least likely to break hairs? I don't mind tweezing a few hairs but I hate the thought of a lot of hairs breaking off instead of being pulled out.

I use the Braun Silk Epil. Epilating is the single best hair removal for legs. i was always a waxer but now i have the epilator i havent looked back.
ALL of my gf's have bought one, and its a RAVE in our circle.
P.S i suggest laser for bikini and underarms. im on the way to a hair free me!
And as for pain, it goes with time, eventually once you have been doing the leg for about 5 mins it goes into shock and then you feel about 1/2 as much pain

I just bought BRAUN Silk epil Xelle 5595 after my Emjoi died (after just over a year!). Havent tried it yet. I hope it's good though...
