Rate your fake tan! - Page 6
Question:
I just did the lamest thing! I trialled st tropez one on thigh (i'm at work for 5 days straight so my upper legs are covered in case of any mishaps) and face of australia mousse on the other! well!! my findings were: face of australia had a deeper colour the st tropez but not TOO deep. just a bit darker. BUT st tropez was really easy to apply, it sort of glides on, while face of australia needed some rubbing. face of australia also went on really dark, and i thought "oh well it's the cheap product shouldve expected that" but after i showered it off in the morning, deadset looked awesome. st tropez i'd say is easier to apply, but you probably would have to use a bit more for a better colour (im really fair and it is just a really light golden). face of australia is just a bit more orange i guess, so i'll be careful in applying lightly, but for the price difference ($30 difference!!) i have no problem with face of australia!! i think i'll have to get someone to do my back and hard to reach spots so it's all even, but wow was i impressed with it!! Answer: I have tried sooooo many different fake tans from the most expensive to the least and the absolute best and most natural looking tan I have ever had is the Amcal Brand........truely I wear it alot and people really do beleive and comment on my nice tan, thinking I have been sunbaking Answer: I take back any good comments on Sublime Bronze Gel. It streaked so bad, and turned me yellowy orange On the plus side it doesn't smell too bad. Answer: I am loving the Palmers bronzing/Self tan. You can see where you are applying it, and is such a lovely colour. Takes a bit of blending in but leaves no streaks. The best I have used!! Answer: I didnt think this was worth starting a new thread over so....I got a spray tan at Ella Bache last night for the first time. I look like a pumpkin. Is this normal after one shower? Will it get better? Im so worried that I will look yuk until it all goes away. ALSO MY HG I HOPE THEY NEVER DC THIS PRODUCT! I'LL DIE haha.. Only thing is it stains the hands! xoxo Answer: Originally Posted by platinumpink I have tried sooooo many different fake tans from the most expensive to the least and the absolute best and most natural looking tan I have ever had is the Amcal Brand........truely I wear it alot and people really do beleive and comment on my nice tan, thinking I have been sunbaking I know! How good is it! If you're after a really golden, natural tan, Amcal is perfect! I've tried the Palmer's fake tan the last couple nights (thanks to this thread...) and I like it, it went a little orange after first application but is a gorgeous deep brown now. And it smells lovellllyyyy! Answer: do you mean amcal as in the in-house brand of the chemist? Answer: Pamlers Natural Bronze Body Lotion Gradual Tanner I'm still in the middle of testing this one, i have in on as i type this (3rd application on legs 2nd on body) and so VERY PALE - i'm almost translucent) so far: PROS: Colour seems to be good (not as orange as some; most fake tans seem to go orange i think coz im so pale ) Easy to apply Fairly even result (so far) I noticed quite a bit of colour after just one application Dosnt stain bed sheets CONS: Smells good at first then smells of fake tan smell Even tho im the Queen of exfoliation it still went a little darker on knees and ankles (especially noticable on first application) so be very careful! It's a little greasy so im scared to use it on my face. I cannot for the life of me get it off my hands after i finished applying, ive washed and washed and used aha exfoliators and exfoliating gloves and moisturised but nope they are a similar colour to my body So far I am happy, I've always been skeptical of gradual tanners, I'm worried that once I get a perfect colour I'll go to shave and end up shaving it all off I will update in a few days! UPDATE: *Even tho it gradual i only needed to do 2 applications *Colour is nice *Even tho i moisturise 2x a day+ its worn off on certian areas but i think thats just me. Im gonna stick with this one. Answer: I want to hear more about Amcal. Is it in lotion form? Does it have a colour guide? Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
