Retinol as moisteriser? - Page 2
Question:
I highly recommend Avene Ystheal. It comes in an emulsion (normal or combination skin) and a cream (dry skin). It contains retinaldehyde which is a patented, gentle form of retinol.
I have not broken out from this and I am susceptible to breakouts. Cleanance contains different ingredients so do not assume Ystheal will break you out!
This WILL give you results in terms of even skin tone and reduction of lines and wrinkles. If you find it not hydrating enough, you can wait 30 mins after application and then apply another moisturiser over the top and this will not lessen its effects. Expect to see real results in 3 weeks.

http://www.skinceuticals.com/product...4&productID=53 I believe that it is meant to be used alone, as a night moisturiser. I quite like the preparation, in fact. Pity my skin can't hack using it nightly though.

I've seen this mentioned here and there on this forum and it sounds excellent. Where can I get this from?

Answer:
You can buy it at Priceline or Tubotica (a Spanish site that gives 5% discount to MUA members)

The PDF states: "Light-weight, moisturizing formula - Will not clog pores and eliminates the need of additional moisturizer."
It goes in-depth about retinol and the skin and how the product works + the technology behind it.

Answer:
Stargazar-lily, does the avene have any effect on the appearance of pore size?

Answer:
I've been using Retinol products for a few months and find it more drying than moisturising and my skintype is normal - oily. So I sometimes use a separate moisturiser on the days I don't use the Retinol

Answer:
I find it drying too. I keep hearing people say too that Avene Retinaldehyde dosent cause irritation but if i use it every night my skin becomes very irritated. I only use 3 nights a week now.
