Retinol as moisteriser? - Page 3
Question:
If you want something that's not so strong and is moisturising try ultraceuticals ultra ACE facial treatment cream. I've rediscovered it a few weeks ago and have noticed a huge difference. My skin is really smooth and it helped fade some spots I had. No problem with dryness so far

Answer:
Just a quick question in addition to this thread.......for those who use or have used retinol.........did you experience any sort of reaction or tingling? ive just started using skinceuticals retinol .05 and it feels like nothing......I expected it to tingle or something, makes me think that the product isnt working? Is this supposed to happen?

Answer:
i got the slightest tingle when i first started using Beauticians Secret Intensive Antioxidant Treatment as it has retinol in it. its been a few months now and i dont feel any weird sensation. i think ti jsut depends on how sensitive your skin is
also for girls looking to use retinol during the day - i was under the impression that you should only use retinol-containing products at night time?

Yep retinol should only be used at nights, and even then, you must apply sunblock the following morning.
FYI - I purchased the 0.5 skinceuticals retinol night cream off ebay for an absolute bargain - waiting for it to arrive

Answer:
Ive never experienced tingling from avene's retinol. I just got some of the stuff we're not allowed to talk about here...bit scared to use it.
Other retinol products just arent getting rid of blackheads! I might apply a bit to a small area and see how irritated i get.

This gives it a chance to act on your skin. I do this quite often myself.
