Blonde Hair - Shampoo, Conditioner, Toner - Page 2
Question:
how do you use a toner?
i found a small bottle of toner in my cupboard, the type someone must have got free with a hair dying kit,
do i just wash my hair apply and then wash out?? unfortunately it has no directions

Answer:
I use goldwell 10V toner pretty regularly now.. it's fantastic I have recently gone more of a creamy blonde though and i'm planning on trying 10P next time

Answer:
10P & 10V mixed together as I went a few shades darker I also use for salon strength tonersWella's colourtouch professional (used theColour touch as a toner as that's what they are mainly used for) in 9.36 (beigey) with a touch of 9.16 (violet ash to keep the beige non brassy)
I never have found a great blonde shampoo or conditioner, they simply cannot deposit enough colour to do much diff so I save my cash for mousses & semi's.
I have to add I love Decore's OTC blue toner no mix & if you leave it in 30 minutes it does get rid of brassiness

Answer:
For shampoo and conditioner I use L'Oreal Shine Blonde once a week. I find I don't need a toner if I use this.
For everyday shampoo and conditioner I alternate between Redken All Soft, Redken Smooth Down, L'Oreal Absolut Repair, L'Oreal Vitamino and occasionally try others. I find that it's best to use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner.
For a leave-in conditioner I always use Redken All Soft Soft Ends. Every second wash (I wash my hair daily) I also use Redken All Soft Addictive Transformer, which is like a dry oil. I use only on the lengths and ends, not the roots. Joico K-Pak foam leave-in is also good and I do use that on the roots as well. I use that about once a week.
For treatments, I did love the old Schwarzkopf BonaCure total repair that is now no longer. Instead I have found Redken Smooth Down Butter Treat to be excellent. The All Soft Heavy Treatment is okay but doesn't work as well on my hair. I do a mask at least weekly. Once a month I use L'Oreal Absolut Repair mask.
I blow dry and flat iron my hair daily so also use a thermal protectant. I like Paul Mitchell Seal n Shine.

Answer:
Current shade of blonde: silvery blonde with level 9 ashy lowlights.
Shampoo: KMS blonde shampoo, Wella Bonacure Silver Reflex
Conditioner: I don't use blonde conditioner. I did like the Matrix Violet one but it's been discontinued or something?? I can't find it anywhere
Toner: Napro Live Silver Toner has by far the prettiest colour, but Goldwell 10V lasts longer on my hair. I do want to try 10P as well as I'm planning to go a bit creamier next time I get my hair coloured.
Treatment: I don't use treatments as I haven't found one yet that doesn't weigh my fine hair down. As a general smoother/colour protectant/detangler/styler (yes, my hair is this fine) I use L'Oreal Techni.art Liss Control and it's great.

Answer:
When my hair was much blonder, I used an assortment of blonde care products, then realised all I needed was Alfaparf silver shampoo - this stuff is the bomb. When I wanted my highlights to be a bit lighter, I used to leave the shampoo in for about 20 minutes every time I washed my hair - in a week or two it went perfectly white I've tried so many blonde shampoos and it's the best.

Answer:
Where can you buy teh Goldwell 10P in Sydney?

Answer:
I am a creamy platnium blonde and have healthy hair with minimal breakage due to the following products......
Toner: I use the De Lorenzo Silver Colour Care Shampoo once a week and find that this maintains my 'blondeness'.
Shampoo and Conditioner: I use the Paul Mitchell Strength Range and am amazed with the results that this range has given me. Awesome, awesome stuff..
Treatment: I use the Paul Mitchell Strength Super Strong Treatment and also Redken Smooth Down Butter Treat.
Leave in: De Lorenzo Instant Restructant Leave In Hair Treatment and Redken Anti-Snap.
Heat Protectant: I use Paul Mitchell Seal 'n' Shine.

i think i would be inclined not to use it if there are no instructions. generally with toners you apply them to towel dried hair and leave on from 5 - 30 mins depending on the result you are after and depending on the product used.
