Frizzy hair & split ends - Page 5
Question:
Has anyone used Mastey's "Shine Naturel - The Wet Look" before? Here's the description - Shine Naturel offers style control that looks wet all day. Brings out natural and haircolor highlights with incredible shine. Hair looks wet, but dries normally. Its from their Luminex range - http://www.mastey.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=6 I'm assuming because its Mastey that it doesn't contain silicones? Answer: I think I possibly have the worst hair in the world. Hairdressers tell me that I have 3 times the amount of hair that normal people should have. To add to that, it is naturally curly and very frizzy As a result, I constantly have to straighten it to make it less big. I use a GHD which is a godsend, but lately my hair has just become so frail and is always breaking, with lots of split ends. Anyone have any advice? At the moment I am using KMS Daily Fixx as a conditioner because my hairdresser recommended it, but I don't really find that it does much. Answer: I would have to disagree with you. I have the WORST hair in the world. It is pretty much my mass body weight...I had so much cut off (in layers it was like a shag rug on the floor) It is very thick, with dumb kink in it (compliments to pregnancy) It is VERY coarse and i hate it so much. I have some genetic thingy that makes the hair twist as is comes out of the folicle. Yeah makes me feel like a real glam. It is also sharp at the ends so it stick into my poor hubby's face. I straighten is and it tames the frizz but nothing will leave me with that "just stepped out of the salon hair". I have tried so many products and I can tell u the best stuff for my hair has been.. wait for it Pantene. Not the S& C (i havre a reaction to that) but the serum. It is great. I also think that you would love Loreal Absolute deep conditioner.. Those are tips from the buy and try crappiest hair in the world girl. Lots of luck to you too. Any tips I am ready for any advice on how to deal. If i wash and leave it is like a lego kid . I love my iron, I have had it since July last year and could not imagine life without it. I have tried every frizz prduct known to man, but yes the iron is the only thing that works, I usually iron every three days (when I wash). I was unblessed in the hair department Any other tips would be greatly appreciated too. OMG I have the same hair as u! lol My hair isn't really that bad after I straighten it. I wash it with pantene extra straight shampoo & conditioner at night, I don't exactly towel dry it coz its still wet when I tie it up. Then I let it dry while I sleep and then straighten it in the morning. I can't stand blowdrying! I wash my hair every 4-5 days. I use my wet2straight straightener along with shwarzkopf (spelling?) frizz free serum stuff. This stuff lasts me like 6 months because I only have to use about a pea size squirt of it for each section of hair while straightening. I dunno if I'm the only one, but I have this certain way of straightening my hair. Like for each section I will run the the straightener on it once (I hold and run a comb through my hair an inch under the straightener while doing that), then rub a tiny amount of frizz stuff on my hands and put it on evenly on that bit of hair to smooth it out, then run the straightener through it one more time and my hair is perfect! I do that all the way around my head. Everyone thinks my hair is naturally thick, straight n silky so they are always surprised when I tell them I straighten it Even though I'm happy with how my hair turns out, I'd still like to try out new products. I'm waiting to try that new pantene weightless serum at the moment. I want to find a product that smoothes my hair and makes it look moisturised, but isnt heavy/greasy. One that smells sweet & yummy would be a bonus! Answer: I used to have no problems whatsoever with my hair but lately I'm getting spilt ends and frizz! I straighten my hair about 3-4 times a week but I use heat protector but I'm still getting those damn spilt ends I'll check out some of the products you have all recommended Any other recs for spilt ends and frizz though throw them my way! Not a product rec but keeping all heat of hair will do wonders for your hair If you can handle it that is....I know how much alot of people love their straighteners. My hair is improving since i stopped using mine and I dont rate most heat protectors that highly myself and i never had so many flyaways than since i started using a straightener so im on a ban Answer: what the...? straightening my hair is the only way i can get rid of fly aways! Answer: Originally Posted by bittersweet_emily what the...? straightening my hair is the only way i can get rid of fly aways! it probably just makes them less noticeable when they're straightened. Mine are curly and look like pubes on top of my head and i know i never had all these flyaways when I just left my hair alone. The first time my hair ever got straightened i noticed straight away the next day there was all these short bits sticking up. It was like my hair had broken off and whenever I stop using one for awhile i stop getting these short bits sticking up. But hey whatever works for you Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
