How to do a Killer Pony Tail
Question:
Why does some pony tails look sooo gooood and some look so ****? My hair a a bit past shoulder and I'd really like to learn how to do good pony tails.

Answer:
Try bending over and doing the pony tail upside down

Answer:
I don't know how I do my ponytails, but people usually say they look good.. I usually just whip it up in about 5 seconds
Sometimes my hair looks its best when I don't do anything to it.. like if I have it up the night before for bed.. looks good if I don't touch it if you know what I mean.

Answer:
My pony tails always look best when I strighten my hair first.

Answer:
i'm no expert on hair styling, but i do have my hair in a pony most of the time. i usually do three types of pony tails:
1. extremely messy
2. straight hair but not pulled too tight
3. sleek and pulled tight
for the messy one i just tease my hair with a fine tooth comb and a bit of leave in condition. i then deliberately put it in a pony messily. i don't usually use a brush for this. if you want, thickening spray is very good to use for volumnous looking ponytails.
for the straight one i usually straighten my hair first, and use a brush to put it into the pony - so the hair that comes out of the hair elastic is dead straight. hair straightening formula is good for this look.
for the sleek one i use a bit of thickening lotion, blow dry my hair straight, part it and put it low at the nape of my neck or sometimes really high.

I'm not really 'into' hair I'll say that, and I"m no expert, but recently I've found a ponytail that I think looks pretty hot, haha I've been whipping it out all the time.
What I do is straighten my hair first- it really makes a difference, or you could just blowdry it straight if you don't have an iron.
Then I just brush/comb my hair upside down for some volume, and whilst my haid is upside down I tie it fairly high, brush it through and you are done! Also you can leave a section out at the front and then pin it back at the end, a bit loosely for some volume, I don't really do a quiff but just gently pin it back a bit puffy.
That said, if you just want a day to day ponytail, who has the time!!!

Answer:
i say just practice. it will take a while to perfect it the upside down method looks tez on me, but works for others. spend a sunday afternoon mucking around and then practice each day

Same! For my ponytail I tip my head upside down and pull it into one. That works well.
Then sometimes I sleep with my hair sometimes like that, then wear it out. Bed hair at its best. The funny thing is, I get heaps of compliments when I don't even touch my hair after getting up.

Answer:
Messy ponies are hot! It looks best with some sort of fringe too.
My hair is usually bloydried then straightened. I brush it upside down first then just pull back my hair running it through my fingers, leaving a few strands loose at the front. These strands I twist then pin back loosly so their ends are still hanging down at the back.
Hope that helps, I'm not really too used to giving hair advice!
