How to do a Killer Pony Tail - Page 2
Question:
I pull my hair back when it's wet for a sleek look, then blow dry the pony so I don't look like a slackar*se who was too lazy to blow dry the whole lot.
Actually, I do this a lot.....

Messy ponies are hot! It looks best with some sort of fringe too.
My hair is usually bloydried then straightened. I brush it upside down first then just pull back my hair running it through my fingers, leaving a few strands loose at the front. These strands I twist then pin back loosly so their ends are still hanging down at the back.
Hope that helps, I'm not really too used to giving hair advice!
I wear ponytails a lot but have never tried tipping my hair upside down and combing it to put my hair in a pony tail...
But what if you have a fringe? Mine is thick and is made up of a lot of my hair (not just a thin line of hair close to my forehead). Because of this, my fringe won't completely separate from the rest of my hair so I'm worried it will look like a dorky mess!

Bump!
Sorry for bumping up a very old thread... but does anyone have more tips? My ponytails always look, so... childish?

Answer:
Oh I need ponytail help too! My hair is really straight so they always look so manicured and boring, but I would prefer a bit more messy

I can't believe no one has said, do it lying down! Its so easy, hang your hair off the side of your bed whilst laying down, then put in a hairtie. So good for getting a really tight, high pony! I was so obsessed with getting a perfect ponytail for a while, and this was the best method! I always hated having lumps underneath. This method eliminates that problem too. Hope this helps.
