It gives it a bit of body at the top. So do you just brush it all backwards or do u have a part? Sounds good! I ended up doing my normal one today.. a bit higher than ear level and i have a bit of volume up the top Answer: I have a side part and I maintain that with my ponytail. I just put my hands on either side of my head and sweep them back to my nape. If I am going out I will use a brush to smooth it down, when it tie it! But I have fairly straight hair so even without the brush it is pretty smooth. Answer: Comb it into shape Answer: Originally Posted by freedom_poptop This is how I wear mine, don't want to look to bouncy. Answer: i love the look of those chicks ponytails - hair is straight - naturally or straightened, then it seriously looks like it was done in 2 seconds, but looks so bloody good, like sorta teased at the crown and gathered from everywhere- arghhhh i wish i could do it! it seems to be younger girls - like 18-19 doing it - looks awesome!! Answer: It seems like my hair is too thin to do good pony tails, they always look limp and lacking volume. I love the look of high ponies with long thick hair that has volume and is slightly messy up the top and gathered. grrr is this achievable with thin hair somehow?? My hair is longish (and layered) but thin and pony tails just look like a limp dead fish hanging off my head! Answer: oooh i want to wear my hair in a pony tail now today. i have curly "rock / beachy" hair and i find that ponys end up looking best when i put them up without the aid of a comb (brushes make my hair fluffy) - so hands only - and when my hair has been left out all day. i try to do ponys in the mornings sometimes and they just dont' come out as good in the mornings as they do at night! but i might try to do a pony today after i diffuse my hair and put some product in it ... i haven't tried diffusing my hair before putting it in a pony - i think it will come out more messy i also agree with that comment about having a pony in line with your eyes at the back of your head. they look the best. too high looks really 80's and too low can look sloppy!!! Answer: Does anyone have any pics of these ponytail looks? I cant get a picture in my head of the 'teasing hair of the crown'.. Answer: This thread is making me nostalgic for my long hair! The grass is always greener though, right? Answer: Also, another prob I have with higher ponies is that there are these strands of hair along my neck line that just don't grow longer than about...just above my shoulder line, so they fall out and there are too many/they're too thick to not be ugly like that, so I pin them but then it looks bad.
