Best cut for extra long hair
Question:
Hi! How do you get your long hair cut? I usually get the HD to cut short layers in my hair, but I have started to think that it would look best if the layers were kept long... TIA Answer: heaps of layers for me otherwise it looks like its stuck to my head Answer: This is the advice I give to the HD when they ask what I want: - V at the back, thinned out - Layered at the front I love my hair. I am in need of a haircut though. I am in need of a haircut though. I have asked for a V cut into the back in the past, but 2 different hairdresser’s refused to cut one because ‘I might not like it’ Answer: Go to another HD! Is your hair long and all one length? If it is, maybe that's why they are scared to cut it - in case they screw it up. When I first cut my hair like that, it was past shoulder length but not exactly "long". Over time, my hair has grown in a V shape and I just get them to trim/fix it when I get my hair cut. If you live in Melbourne, go to Springvale. There's a HD called "Tommys" - that's where I get my hair cut. Never been disappointed. Not too expensive either. For me, a hair wash, cut, blowdry and straighten with a GHD is $25. Bargain! Answer: lilpikachu, what does the V at the back look like, and how long's your hair? It sounds like a really brave cut! I'm a total wuss when it comes to haircuts! My hair is down to my waist (it used to be hip-length) and my HD gives me long layers at the front. The rest is a uniform length and I usually trim it myself. Answer: Originally Posted by lilpikachu Go to another HD! Is your hair long and all one length? Bargain! ^ My hair is currently elbow length, with lots of layers... They did cut it into a soft V, but it looked a bit... weird Answer: The V just looks like a V! Pointy at the bottom. The longest tip of the V is about 15cm from my butt crack (sorry that didn't sound too good) so about elbow length. My hair is naturally wavy but when I can be bothered, I'll straighten it. I have short layers at the front - think Jennifer Aniston when she first had "that" cut but they aren't that obvious. It's not really a brave cut - I think heaps of Asian girls have it - not that I cut it like that to be a clone, but because I had really thick hair which annoyed me too much when it took hours to air dry. I think because I had it cut when it was relatively short, it didn't feel like I was losing that much hair. I really wish I could have it all one length at the back - I see girls with hair like that and just stand there with this look on my face In the event that I do cut it all one length, I would no longer have "long" hair and given how long it's taken me to grow, I don't wanna lose it just yet! Been contemplating taking the plunge and getting Victoria Beckham's Pob, but I don't think I could face having the back so short! Plus Winter is coming! The shortest my hair has ever been was a chin-length bob! Maybe when my braces come off, I'll take the plunge... Another thing, when I tell the HD what style I want, I don't ask them to layer the front until they are almost done. Because I tend to just want a bit of layering, and nothing major. Although the thinning out can sometimes come as a surprise! Answer: I went insane when ig ot a V cut when my hair was long! I hated it! If you're hair is long then i think any layers above 20cm from the bottom look strange. I always get the ends of my hair cut with thinning scissors so then it falls nicely and blends. Keeps away the knots, too. I had a long fringe that a swept in front of my face, too, so i guess thats i short layer... Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
