Could you go without washing your hair for six weeks? - Page 3
Question:
god no..i can't even leave it for 2 days without it being greasy ah, the joys of growing up Answer: Hmm, sounds like an interesting article! I'm curious, and I'd like to see what would happen, but like Miss Classique said: Originally Posted by Miss Classique The problem is - how could you comfortably get through the "yuck" stage when you have commitments like work? It doesn't sound like a realistic project when you have a life to lead... maybe if you had annual leave and wanted to experiment??!! Exactly Maybe they wore a hat or scarf? The longest I went without washing my hair was almost 2 weeks - I had been really sick though. My hair was oily and and as soon as I could wash it, I did. I'm not sure I'd be able to last til that phase ended. Also, I don't think I'd let myself go out or go to work if my hair was feeling (and looking) greasy. Did the article mention how long the greasy phase lasted?? and how long did the 'beautiful hair' phase last? Answer: I can go three to four days without washing. Although it depends whether I leave my hair curly or straight. I was one of those people that HAD to wash my hair everyday and if I didn't it was too greasy. You just have to go through a bad week or so and you can change your hair washing habits. I used to be a hairdresser and there are a ton of old ladies that only wash their hair once a week and that was when I did it for them. Not sure about going 6 weeks though, might be ok if you were on surviver or something Answer: I didn't wash my hair for 3 weeks on a glacial hike -it was too cold to even wash your hands when not entirely necessary. The thing is it was gross, but after about 4 days my hair didn't get any greasier, it just stayed the same. I definitely wouldn't say it got nice though. There's no way I could deal with the embarrassment of having grotty hair in normal public situations. I reckon I could deal with doing just a water rinse with no shampoo, but I wouldn't by preference not wash my hair at all. Answer: ewwwwy. nope not even for one week. letting it go unwashed for 4 days max feels disgusting!!! i could never do that it just gets so greasy Answer: Never. I have to wash my hair twice a day otherwise I feel... dirty. (Also, I have naturally oily hair) But that statement is true- it's the same with bathing. Answer: OMG eww i have to wash my hair every day i find it hard not to because i love washing my hair while having a shower once a girl at school went a month without washing her hair it was grosse Answer: I once did about 25 days washing with just water - no shampoo, soap or conditioner - because I also heard that your hair would evenutally rid itself of the grease and be lovely. After about 2 weeks it gets as greasy as it will ever get but my hair never magically transformed into beautiful hair, it just stayed oily. However, it didn't really LOOK oily but it certainly felt it. Eventually I couldn't stand it and washed it! Now I wash my hair about twice a week with Alchemy products and it is very healthy. Answer: I wash mine once a week now, with two or three conditioner only washes in between (it actually works to cleanse your hair!), and I think I could stretch it out if I still had conditioner. I just think my scalp would be too itchy! That's the only reason I shampoo anymore. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
