I'm obssessed with cutting my split ends! - Page 2
Question:
Another tip is only shampooing your scalp... I rub the shampoo into the roots, then hold my hair in a ponytail as I rinse, so it doesn't run down the length of the hair. Ever week or so I wash the whole lot, but it's much drier when I do.
Before I had the last of the colour cut out of my hair I was a snipper, too... kept finding more and more and more! Great way to procrastinate.

Get a haircut and then start using some heavy duty conditioner for dry hair - Pantene and Herbal Essences Intensive Blends are both good ones. When you shampoo, apply a generous amount of the conditioner to your ends and if hair is long, clip it up out of the way while you soap up the rest of you (this is a nice little deep-conditioning treatment!). Rinse.
Always comb hair with a wide tooth comb when wet.
Avoid hairdryers and straighteners as often as you can.
Try V05 Hot Oil every week.
Good luck!
Yes another hair cut would be a good idea. Cut it a bit shorter this time. It'll grow back quicker when its healthier. And you know what else works like a dream?
Loreal Absolut Repair Mask - Use it as a conditioner. And the 500ml tub is on sale at Price Attack for only $29.95!!
My hair has never looked so healthy!

Answer:
Yep I do this too - not all the time though, only when board. And when I find a really bad split I must get it cut off before I loose the hari so I end up racing around trying to find some scissors.

Answer:
Oh, I've learnt the hard way. After a few too eager cutting sessions - I've stopped doing it. I ended up with uneven hair!

Answer:
I love doing this! It is one of my favourite activities, especially when hungover. Time just flies.

Answer:
Minxme I've done that too I used to cut my spilt ends off in class, at work, anywhere! After hacking my hair for a year (I was trying to grow it) my hair was completely ruined and uneven

Answer:
Doesn't that make it worse, because normal scissors aren't as sharp?
I pull mine out

Answer:
^^ i pull mine out too it gives me something to do in class...

Answer:
I do exactly the same thing, or if I plan on pulling it out I will split the hair even more before I do, just to see how far it will split
Hehehe...I sound like a nutter!

Answer:
I used to do it when I was bored at work.
I was always scared that someone would walk past and see me.
