Hair Extension Thread - Page 3
Question:
we were going to(we still can) use the Shrinkies method but my partner said that he uses the same material as an electrician(the shrinkie stuff) and reckons that they won't hack more than a month or two with water(like washing your hair) and they will fall apart. i wonder if this is true?? Answer: BTW thanks cosmetic Chic!! **she is the one that found me all this info!!) Answer: i've been getting hair extensions for about three years using great lenghts. They are fantastic, i can't speak highly enough of them. if you want pics of mine, jsut pm me and i'll send you them. I read through this thread that you "WILL lose" extensions... i have never lost any of mine, not one single one, unless you start picking at them... Answer: Hi Travel Bug, Does great lengths use glues or wax to join the hair? How is the maintenance for this type of hair extension? The thing is, when you wash your hair your hair shrinks because it is wet. So with some extension methods you might experience a bit of shedding when you wash your hair, because there will be more room inside the link/tube/shell. Never brush extensions when they're wet and never sleep with wet hair. And with the shrinkies method...dry your hair straight away if you can, so that the water doesn't seep inside the shrinkie and loosen the connection with the hair inside. My boyfriend is an electrician Answer: haha im sure he told you the same thing hehe my boyfriend thought it was the funniest when i told him about this method he is like we use those to keep wires together!!! see this is one of the reasons why i didn't want to get Shrinkies. I know i couldn't be bothered drying my roots everytime but ill still try boht methods out and see how they go Answer: hiiiii! was searching a thread on hair extentions and came across this one! two of my friends recently got amore hair extentions done for $150 and they look absolutely fantastic!!! theyve got great colours also (different shades of blondes) and my other friend has black with some red.. look soo hot! i so want them right now hahha the only thing is, my hair is very much layered, shortest layer being just below my ear + longest part of my length is mid shoulder blades.. do u think it will look ridiculous if i get long extentions and have very short pieces? like i know it should look fine, but its real hair VS extentions together.. i might check out the store and see what the ladies say! for those that have them, have they been alot of matience? like can u see them if you tie your hair up.. etc etc.. easy to straighten/curl etc? any information thanks! Answer: I have clip in ones (real hair) bought off ebay.. I wear them everyday. Everyone just thinks its my natural hair (unless I tell them otherwise). They take me about 5 minutes to put on in the morning. very simple. I dont know what I'd do without them. I just realized they are just a "normal" part of my morning routine to put them in.. I dont really think about them much, sometimes I forget that its not part of my own hair. I guess the only thing is that they can get tangled easier than my own hair (probably because they are long) and a bit of hair comes out each day due to maintainence such as brushing/washing but of course unlike real hair it doesnt grow back. But even so, I figure replacing them every 1 or 2 yrs when they get a little thinner is easy.. especially when they are less than $120. I guess everyone is different.. but clip ins work for me. I always get comments on how long my hair is.. and no one can tell I have them. Even friends who hadn't seen me in only 3 months just assumed my hair grew quicker or just said that just havent noticed before how long my hair was getting. These sound like the same ones I got, they're great aren't they!! Just wondering, do you tie yours up or wear them out every day? I have trouble hiding the attachment bits when I try to tie them up in a ponytail... Answer: Originally Posted by Soleil These sound like the same ones I got, they're great aren't they!! Mostly I wear them with my hair down... When I first got them I would tie my hair up and I had no problem. I would put the clips in as normal just as when I wear my hair down then tie it up as I would with normal hair. Hmm maybe when your going to wear your hair up, clip them further down on ur head/scalp.. so that more of you own hair is covering the clips and it would be easier to hide.. I dont know if that makes sense. when u tie your hair up to u brush it all straight back? maybe tie your hair up with a bit of a part whether its down the middle or side part so that you arrange the hair in a way that its covering the clips at the sides of your head. and make sure the pony tail isnt too high. Ahh Im so sorry.. Im not too good at explaining things. Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
