I've heard that the metal clips can rip the hair right at the root (where they are joined), have your friends experienced this problem? How long have they had them in? I've also been to the lady at Bankstowm (Jian) and she seemed like she knew what she was talking about. She actually quoted me $1,500 all up for 150 extension pieces. She charges $10 per extension, which is about right. If you could let me know how your friends experience with the lady at Bankstown was, that would be great cos i'm considering going to get them done there. I'm so excited i can't wait to get them in.......i want Victoria Beckham hair soooo bad! Especially for the party season which is just around the corner. I just want to make sure that they won't damage my own hair. Thanks heaps heheh nah thats kool, i was asking heaps of questions too because im keen on getting them! i felt their heads and everything (its not noticeable if you look at them, but they lifted sections of their hair closest to the root and you could see little braid type things.. yeah its the lady at bankstown named Jian, although when i asked if it was real hair they said that she said it was, but they are not sure as it starts to feel like barbie hair if you dont mosturise them enough etc. The lady is very experienced though! one friend has had them in for 1 week, the other 3 months and she said that she has already experiences malting, but i suppose thats only natural coz of course its not your real hair! i dont mind !! hahaha i just want looooong hair.. umm what else... they said its easy to style/wash/blowdry/curl etc.. but of course you cant go scrubbing your head under the water in the shower.. they only paid $150 and the hair looks great!!! like its only on back sections of the hair, very natural and colours are amazing.. i dont see why u have to get 1,500 worth unless you want evvvvvvery part of your hair done! but yeaaah i think thats about it! Answer: yeh the price will definently vary depending on how much hair you ask for. always ask what type of human hair it is...there are so many different types, some are really bad quality, extreamly treated, and others are the best you can get and will never tangle. Answer: what are the best quality to look for?? asians, russian, european etc etc? ive heard to look out for them, but i dont know what is the best one! Answer: Based on my research the best type of hair to ask for is "remi". This basically means the hair folicals are all in the same direction (exactly as they grow from your head naturally). The cheaper versions of hair extensions don't do this and just group the hairs in any directions which is a major cause of knotting and matting of the hair. Another thing to keep in mind is the colour you choose. The lighter you go the more processed the hair will be. When hair extension companies buy hair from woman (usually Indian & European woman) they will only buy "virgin hair" the reason for this is because they need it to be in good condition so that they can colour treat it to whatever colours they want to sell. So, usually most peoples virgin hair colour is dark and hence if you are wanting blond extensions this will have been through an extensive lightening process before it gets to that colour. This may result in the hair feeling a bit drier much sooner if treatments are not maintained. So that's why looking after them as if it's your own hair is important. The type of hair you get (ie: what country it came from) will just depend on the texture of your current hair. The hairdresser will actually match the texture of your hair to the extension hair. There is no use in getting really straight asian hair if your hair is curly.......it just won't match. Amore actually uses Indian Remi hair which is really good quality. I have felt it and it's awsome. Sorry about the essay guys but i just wanted to get all the info i have accross to you guys. Answer: I think hair quality is soooo important! I've had extensions in where after 3 months they started matting up badly, and I found myself having to be brushing my hair all day to keep the knots at bay.....drove me nuts I now have in what started as virgin russian hair (from Akinda Magic) which was dyed to a light blond colour. I have 2 types of treatments (one for strengthening one for moisturing) that I alternate between each week. I must say that my extension hair is fab, and can def now feel the diff between cheap and good hair The only thing that worries me now as I want the Amore extensions is that the hair will be good quality, as obviously I have been ripped off before (paying the same price $10 per extension). I paid much more for the hair I currently have in....but gosh its worth it Answer: Originally Posted by Travel Bug HI, I don't think it's the GL or the Keratine I think it's the Hair Dresser and their level of experience and if they are thorough or not. I can't speak highly enough of my HD and when i have my extensions out my hair is fine. It's not acetone they use but silicone to get it out... Everyone has their own story I guess but my personal opinion is they are fantastic, I wouldn't keep getting them in if they were bad or damaging... i can email u pics if u like. Hiya TB, I definately agree with u on the experience of the HD and how much they actually cair about your hair....makes all the diff for sure! PM me a pic if u can Answer: Yes Remi hair is the best to get! It costs more but it will look more beautiful, more shiney, and won't annoy you with knots! Remi hair is when the cuticle is still in tact (the cuticle is the outer layer of the hair) unlike other non-remi hair where they basically strip the cuticle off with all the processing, and then they coat the hair with silicone to create shine, and after a few washes the shine will start to fade. You have to be careful though, because there's alot of false advertising saying that hair is remi when it really isn't. So ask alot of questions first Answer: Originally Posted by Cosmetic*Chic When you curl your clip-ins does the curling ruin the straightness of the hair? (i'm assuming you have straight extensions). I can re-straighten them with my GHD, but I want to keep the damage to a minimal for the hair. Mine are actually wavy normally but i differ from hot rolling them/curling iron to straightening them and they always go back to the normal wave when i wash but im not sure if the wave for you would stay. perhaps try it on a section and see just to be sure Answer: thanks for the all the useful information guys!!!!!!!!!!!!! Answer: I've got weft extentions at the moment, have had them for the last 2.5 months and i love them... you just have to take care of them thats all... just treat them like normal hair. Mine cost me $150 from a friend of mine who works at an extention place in Melb city, (don't wanna get her in trouble for takin her clients home with her ) but shes real good... got em taken out n re-sewn in tonight so they r tight again, and a couple more wefts added so its a bit thicker loves it any questions guys, just PM me... I say, don't let all the negative stuff about them deter you, everyones different Copyright ? 2006 - 2007 www.thankhealth.com Privacy Policy
